Worked great for my D800, but I used a roundabout method.
Things you will need:
Ghost 2003 (for NTFS support) Comes with Norton System Works 2003 professional.
Shared drive on another system
Dos Ndis2 driver for your nic (download a driver update from IBM and it will be there)
patch cables and such (I already had a network setup but this could be done with a crossover cable) I wouldn't suggest WIFI its slower and well could be problematic.
Steps I used:
Map shared drive
Create folder on shared dive
Backup old hdd to new folder on mapped drive (in ghost menu pick "backup" and select "to file") Symantic dose not support non OS partitions but it worked fine on my D800 so select both partitions and browse to folder.
Around this point it will ask for dos drivers for your nic
start backup (this takes awhile and will create a bunch of 2gig files)
**** If you have a domain server set up create a drive mapping boot disk, if not don't worry about one you'll have to do this the long or very long way.
Install new hdd
Format hdd
**** This is where I took the very long way. I Installed Xp, Ghost and the drivers for my NIC this potentially could be done just by booting from your Norton disk I chose not to try this route as mappeed drives can be a pain to find under some circumstances.
Map network drive, ensure that you can access it.
Run Ghost select "restore" point to the mapped drive select your back up files.
It will ask for the the dos drivers again.
let it go...
I chose the above methods because I thought they would work and wouldn't require me to sit in front of the computer the whole time (I have a seccond job as a jungle gym durring any hours that I'm home )
Anyway hope that helps
