I have a T610 and am quite happy with it. Except for the screen that is indeed not so good in sunlight this little phone is great! The camera is nothing but a gizmo.. yeah it works but it doesn't rock the boat at all. But all pales in front of one major feature: Bluetooth is awesome!! For this feature alone you can ignore the two minor problems with screen and camera. Get a BT USB stick, figure it into the complete purchase price along with a pouch/beltclip. You can remote control your PC (it even shows Winamps playlist on the phones display), remote control your phone from the PC - writing SMS messages has never been easier - and of course manage your calender and contacts with outlook. It uses standard JPG files as backgrounds so you can upload your own with BT, Ringtones are MID files that you can get anywhere on the net and the GUI is themeable and there is a freeware programm with which you can make you own themes. All of this of course quickly uploadable with BT.

I was also considering the E7XX series but was put off by two major inconveniences: No Bluetooth!! Proprietary file format for backgrounds and ringtones (edit: well actually the backgrounds are standard JPG coming to think of it)!! Did I mention no BlueTooth?
The camera on the Samsung is vastly superior though but it is still a phone! If I want to take pictures I bring my Powershot along.
