Tamron Lens vs Nikon Lens

Found a good price for Nikon D80 package on ebay...I'm a noob to photography, anyone recommend Tamron lens over Nikon lens and save $70???

Nikon Lens Package - $918

Tamron Lens Package - $844

Tamron makes good lenses, but in this particular case, the Nikon lenses in that package are WAY better.

More importantly, DO NOT buy either package at this moment. The Nikon D90 is coming out on Wednesday. Even if you can't afford a D90, it will drive D80 prices way down so you'll save some money.
