Target B&M has the 900Mhz wireless controller for 19.99.

This is usually going for 39.99 and up - so I thought it was a good deal and picked one up.

Wow, I could not imagine how I could ever live without one - and today I am going to buy a second one. No more tangled mess in the living room!

There is another (more costly) RF controller (2.4ghz) from logitech, but it is much too large and heavy for my taste. The Madcatz is about the size of the original DualShock - but has a better grip. (You will only benefit from 2.4ghz if you want to play your basement PS2 from the attic...)

Wouldn't you also benefit from 2.4GHz if all the cordless phones in your house are 900MHz? Any problem with using a 900MHz wireless controller at the same time as a 900MHz cordless in the same room?

If this is the MadCatz then this is a killer deal I just paid around $40 for one a couple weeks ago. I tried some other wireless controllers for the ps one years ago and I hated them. There was always a half second pause between when you pressed the key and the response. The MadCatz is perfect. Works exactly like the wired controllers, saved me from buying a DVD remote, and it shuts off after a minute or so automatically to save the battery. At $40 it's a good deal, at $20 we're coming off like the Mafia...if this is the MadCatz. Searched for "MadCatz" and "ps2 wireless" on target.com w no luck. Anyone confirm?

I recently got the Logitech and am very pleased. Sure it is heavier, but it works without a flaw. Great distance too. Got it from Buy.com for $45 shipped, less the 20% rebate coupon we all got for not winning a cordless desktop.

Yes, it can be a problem. If someone is using a cordless phone or whatever you can have problems.

Also, I don't know if anyone is like me, but I've been in love with the PS and PS2 controller forever. I couldn't use a 3rd party controller so I bought one of these:

ProductLink

I just got mine before Christmas at an ebgames for $29.99. However, I checked EBGames online and gamestop and they don't list them anymore, and I know pelican accessories website doesn't list them either. Which means you might be able to find one at one of the gaming stores for a good sale price...I know my local funcoland had one as well.

Basically it allows you to plug your regular controllers into a station that works off 900 mhz. So now I'm disconnected, but can still use the regular PS2 controller.

Another tip, if you have one already and running it off batteries because you couldn't get a radio shack power adapter at 6v (what's listed on the wavestation) to work (I couldn't), it's because it needs a 4.5v adapter like this:

Adapter

Not sure if that's some scam they had with the hopes of selling their planned propietary power adapters or what, but I couldn't get the 6v to work.

Good luck finding one, they should be out there and on sale I would bet. Mine works great..except for 900mhz concerns as discussed.

Back to our regularly scheduled program, can anyone confirm this is the Mad Catz controller?

This is the MadCatz Controller. It works flawless - and no, my phone doesn't ring when I hit the X button

I myself am also a huge fan of the DualShock Controllers, but this one is pretty close in size and feel. And nothing beats not having to worry around tangling your cable around your softdrink and spilling it all over the carpet...

did anyone else find this deal? ive checked tons of targets and its 39.99 there. If you did get this, was this in the clearance section or is it just a regional price error?

About 6 months ago I picked up 2 of these for 19.99 each on clearance at target. Mall205 store in Oregon.

They were the rechargeable ones.....are these the same ones that are on clearance again? Or do they take batteries?

EDIT: BTW, I love these controllers...correct weight and feel, with no problems with response.
