Team Anandtech T-shirts

Since I joined the team a year ago, I've been thinking of this idea.

Can we create Team Anandtech T-shirts and/or other goods?

SETI has such a shop, the profit gets directly donated to SETI@Home.
A good website for doing it would be www.cafepress.com , the only issue we have is the copyright of the Anandtech logo.

What do you think? Would you like to have a Team Anandtech T-shirt?

If the copyright issue works out, TAS or any other mini team could do an exclusive T-shirt too.

The idea of a version 2.0 of the hats is brought up once in a while, but we're all so old & frail now. Can you redesign the original to be bigger, badder, & better then before? I think Ray or Smoke might have the last living cap left in existence. Word on the street is that it has already met an untimely death at the feet of a Deere lawnmower.

As for a shirt, I myself am not an artist, so of course I will ignorantly nominate myself to slap some ugly animations onto a blank FOTL t-shirt & present it at the next possible gathering.

I imagine copyright wouldn't be a problem. The main site guys probably wouldn't mind the extra publicity not to mention its coming directly from the forums. Just have to send them an email I'm sure.

Call up cryogenics & have them dry ice ship the last sample out to Cafe-Press.

Personally, I find CP stock clothing really cheap. I want something I can spill bacon grease on, subsequently catch on fire, putout, throw in the dryer, & wear to work the next morning.

Or whatever we used last time is fine.

I think the best idea to choose the design is a poll in which you can vote for all the submissions.

I like the idea very much - and I'll buy at least 5 of these - if reasonably priced and not too expensive to ship to Europe.

I also like the idea of t-shirts and caps. Also, it would be nice if they can be shipped to good old South Africa. 2 big crunchers down here!!!

Seems like there is suddenly a revival of TeAm spirit here. I have not been a forum member long enough to say for sure, but I am definitetly seeing an increase - at least from good to even better.

Does anyone have the original graphics, or would we like to design our own? I found a few places that would do custom t-shirts. Sounds like fun. I might do up a few for fun. Minimum order is around 7 shirts @ $23 each, but I could get 10 for ~$15 each. So ordering more makes a huge difference, and it looks like it is cheapest to order around 10.

Well, let's brainstorm a little more until we can get solid on the design. Where to get printed is also a discussion to be had. The I-Hacked shirts given away at the last NYC ATOT meet looked like decent enough quality.

We(someone other then me) should start a thread over there(OT) asking about printing companies & the like.

I have a few local places that do stuff like this and can have them done locally.

And if we want a mass of them done......The company I work for does about 100,000 promotional hats and shirts a year , along with other goodies. Contact info shouldn't be hard to get.

And Borgy.....I'd be glad to ship some to you If you can't get them any other way.
