Technical Support for Mobos

Curious for later when I buy a motherboard what Brand currently has the best tech support?


I currently have an Asus board and I couldnt be any more UNSATISFIED with the utter crap they give me. There help desk to file a case number has been down for over 24 hours and when I called the tech support number I listened to an automated message for about 20 mins till someone picked up and told me they would take my number and name because they couldnt access there network so they'd call me back. I asked if i stayed on the phone when would I be helped.. he then said "I dont know.. 30ish mins but they'd be able to do nothing w/o the network"

So now im forced to sit at my pc all day waiting for a call.. Worst support ever.. and there sites forums suck bad for tech support to.. for vips who registered there product.. theres a total of like 60 posts in the past 3 months.. :/


Anyways.. I browsed at MSI's forums for tech support and they seem thorough so I may get an MSI board after this.. but what about other brands?

All the major mobo makers BLOW. Asus is HORRIBLE. They'll just tell you to deal with the problem or ignore your emails. The only mobo maker who has phenominal support is ASRock - replies within 24 hours usually and beta BIOSes to correct any problem I reported.

I agree with Bar81--AsRock has the best support (an offshoot of ASUS) followed closely by (or equaled by) Soltek. Soltek is the only one around that I know of where their reps post and respond to threads over at OCWORKBENCH and here, too.

Epox has good support in my experience. Emails replied to in ~24 hrs, RMAs for dead boards takes 2-3 weeks

Good to know.. got my rma number from asus finally.. they juggled me around 5 different places to call till i finally got where I needed >.> and i called tech support 3 times to hear all there answers.. i got 3.. yes 3 completly different answers.. I hope they just give me a new damn mobo

I think that DFI has great support, they got two guys on their forums that work for DFI and will respond within hours usually.
