I personally hate them and think they have one good song, if that. Their comedy/rock thing doesn't cut it, and I'm shocked that Sony Records actually pays the losers. What a bunch of old, fat, ugly men with no talent. 'Tis ashame.

Take the cotton out of your ears! Tenacious D goes one step ahead of comedy music--the music is GOOD....you can listen to it more than twice and still enjoy it, even if it doesn't make you laugh, it still is really good music.

Don't mess with the DEE! ROCK!

I think live they would be alright, especially if I had about 2 pitchers of beer in me. But, when listening to them off of an MP3 while completely sober, I just can't really get into it. It's a style that I just have to be in the right mood for to enjoy. If I'm not in the that mood, then I just find them abraisive.

I don't know if I would really compare them to ween. Jean and Dean were great. Definitely way more off color than Tenacious D. Also more "catchy" than T-D.

the cd is difficult to get through cos of all skits. they're just not listenable after i've heard the cd like 10 times.

i saw them with weezer last week. (thanks to zeroburn!!!!!) the show was funny. it was more like watching some stand up comedians rather than a concert, so that was kind of weird. i think the humor is definitely geared more towards guys tho
