Replaced the new 285 BFG OC and everything works fine!
Especially prevalent in l4d. With multicore rendering option enabled and without.
I do not have problems with it using one card and I have used both cards alone and everything functions fine.
q9550@3601 1.3v after droop
4gb 1066 ddr3 7-7-7-20
750w pcp&c
2x 285gtx
The cards are stock.
I have run in safe mode and uninstalled drivers, used driver cleaner, installed the latest driver 186.12 with no luck. I am close to giving up on SLI and selling the second card. Anyone have any advice? SLIforums seems to be lacking an answer - or everyone has an answer but none of them work.
I am getting the nvd....... driver has failed and recovered error and 15 - 40 seconds of freezing and sound loop. This is listed as something that is fixed by SP1 for Vista 64 but I have all the updates :/
Steam claims that I have too much pooled memory - I have 250mb pooled physical memory. Is it too much?
