Basically I have looked through all your TFT articles, and im still undecided..
I have £400 (so thats about $700) to get a new monitor.
Not sure wether to buy 17", 19" or 20". Now with the:
17" I would be under budget, but that means maybe some money towards other upgrades.
19" I would be on budget, but the resolution thing puts me off...
20" I would be over budget, but you do spend hours and hours so I think its a thing worth paying for.
I know people like the Dell 2001FP here, can you review the new Dell 2005 widescreen 20"? Also the viewsonic vp201 would be appreciated. 17" is such a competative market that it makes me unsure where too look.
What will I do with it? (most important question really, I mean do you need it?)
Right, its for word processing, web surfing and lots of games.. (half life 2, UT2k4, CS..)
Now I notice here at anandtech the 6bit monitors are avoided like the plaugue in reviews, is the loss that bad? I mean if you want full 8bit then no TFT currently supports that under 16ms (I believe), also alot of reviews seem to indicate that 25ms and 16ms dont make much difference.
I currently own a Samsung 152T, awesome little monitor, 15" nice colour and no blurr, so.. im basically just after something bigger!
Anyways views + opinions on what I should do would be greatly appreciated.
