Killing hundreds of people and hopeing for the best, what a way to deal

Beats having hundreds of your own people killed, and hoping for the best.
Yet the 'killing hundreds of people' plan is easily beat by making reasonable plans with the international community to resolve the problem in a more peaceful manner.

IT doesn't work. They gave up land and got attacked anyway.

I'm talking about reasonable plan to make remove Hezbollah from the boarder. giving up land doesn't make people disappear.

So if the U.S. or Canada was ever involved in destroying peace somewhere. You would be doing what you can to kill those people?

Are they?

If big blue aliens with Coors beers came down and started to pick the hairs out of your body 1 by 1....

Hypothetical situations with no basis are no good in an argument.

China has threatened Taiwai
Israel is being attacked

Both of those situations are real. When the US or Canada invades/attacks a demoncratic, peacefull nation that doe not harbor terrorists purposely, well we can talk than.

Oh, I am sorry they dropped 23 tons of explosive on their enemy who declared open war on them, and vowed to kill them all. It was very insensitive of them to strike such a target. I guess it shows what kind of monsters they are.

I love how all the Muslim and/or terrorist apologists choose to ignore the fact that Hezbollah captured the Israeli soldiers so they can hold them for ransom. Where is the outrage now? This was an unprovoked, deliberate act of war. But you guys don't want to call it war because Hezbollah does not have a military, or at least what most people define as a military. So any Hezbollah deaths are now considered "civilian" deaths. Talk about a double standard.

If Hezbollah had a legitimate gripe, shouldn't they have gone to this "international community to resolve the problem in a more peaceful manner"? The hypocrisy is uncanny.

Amnesty International, in its annual report on US military aid and human rights, states that ?throughout the world, on any given day, a man, woman or child is likely to be displaced, tortured, killed or ?disappeared? at the hands of governments or armed political groups. More often than not, the United States shares the blame.? [Chomsky, 1998]

Not really hypothetical, but I don't think your ready for reality. Your just going through a phase you'll grow out of someday

Outside of academia, Chomsky is far more widely known for his political activism, and for his criticism of the foreign policy of the United States and other governments. Chomsky describes himself as a libertarian socialist and a sympathizer of anarcho-syndicalism (he is a member of the IWW). He is generally considered to be a key intellectual figure within the left wing of the United States politics.

* He holds a wide range of very strong criticisms of the U.S. government.
* He describes himself as a libertarian socialist or anarcho-syndicalist and is highly critical of Leninist branches of socialism.
* He holds views that can be summarized as anti-war: Anti-Vietnam War and against most other US interventions in conflicts of his lifetime.
* He has a classical liberal view of broad free-speech rights, especially in the mass media; he opposes censorship of views he disdains.
* He considers himself a Zionist in the traditional sense, previously supported a one-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict but now supports a two state solution.

You should choose your sources/examples for this subject more carefully than an anti-american policy, anti-war, activist with an agenda

Yes, I trust Amnesty International.
Anti-American? ( don't tell my sister )
Anti-War on Terror (fixed that for you)
Activist- yesterday you were ragging on me for not organizing peace rallies

Agenda- really, don't we all have one

I believe that war is horrible and should never happen. Try talking to some vets ( not the ones on here, head down to your local Legion and share your views)

I was involved with the military and can be called your classic redneck. I was kid during

Last year, Noam Chomsky paid a solidarity visit to Hezbollah. That alone, makes him a scumbag worth a bullet in the head.

In May 2006, Chomsky traveled to Lebanon and met with Nabil Qauq, Hezbollah leader in Southern Lebanon, who took Chomsky, his wife, and fellow university professor Fawwaz al-Trabulsi on a tour of Al Khiyam prison[5]. Many on the American right have cited this event as evidence of Chomsky as a sympathizer with terrorism, and Lebanese criticized Chomsky's visit as well.[6], [7], [8]

The Israeli terrorist forces are dropping bombs and missiles on Lebanese civilians and civilian infrastructure. Clearly a war crime outlawed in Article 4 of the
Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

How soon the Israeli people forget that they were on the other side of the coin not so long ago. Nice to see the state of Israel is little better than the Third Reich.

If Israel was as bad as the third reich, there would be no Palestinians... hell there probably wouldn't be any Jordanians either... but you are an idiot... so I won't expect you to understand that.

Israel is genocidal and savage just like the Third Reich and it didn't kill 300 people only along its history.

didja read where I said 50,000,000....?? Maybe if I spell it out for you...

fifty million...

as in 5 with seven 0s after it...

The third reich killed 6,000,000 jews alone... if you added up all the killings on both sides... both Palestinian and Israeli... I doubt you would reach the size of one month at Auschwitz.

They are in a continous state of war with an army that hides behind civilians. If the Civilians hide them as they are doing, than they are no longer considered innocents. Therefore they are free game. Israel could kill every one of them.

The people who are Genocidal are the ones calling for the destruction of Israel and the killing of all the Jews there, but it is so easy to forget the points the people youd defend stand behind isn't it?
