Looks like the US is exporting the 'HOSS BOSS' motorcycle to Britain.

For those of you not familiar, this bike has an 8.2 litre V8 engine, and does 0-60 in under 2 seconds. It has a 2 speed auto gearbox, and does 150mph in first, and 250mph (if you can hang on that long!) in second.

Do we need it? - No
Do we like it? - Hell yes!!

You, my friend, are on crack.

The BOSS HOSS has a specially designed two speed automatic transmission shifted manually from a standard motorcycle style shifter. Just push down on the shifter to enagage the transmission from neutral to first then at the desired rpm and speed push it down again for second. In second the engine will turn a pleasant 2300 rpm at 70 miles per hour which generates 30 miles per gallon and a range of more than 300 miles. Reverse is engaged from neutral position by pushing down on the rear shifter and simultaneously holding a button in, located on the left handle bar just below the left turn signal switch. Reverse is powered by the engine and is specially designed to engage smoothly and be very controllable for a rider friendly feature.

250 mph in second gear? I don't think so. The maximum RPM is listed at 5800 RPM, & it only does 70 at 2300 RPM.

erm, that only what I read in the paper (mind you it was the News of the World, which is more breast orientated than news orientated)

So, it doesnt do 250mph then?!

No. If it's max RPM is 5800, & it does 70 @ 2300 RPM, I guess it would top out around 176, if you were fool enough to do it.

But then again I could be wrong, it's happened before.

You would have to know the gear ratios to know if it could or couldn't reach 250. It could easily reach 250 with a tall 2nd gear.
