Seems like the RMA was approved. Now I just have to ship it to Germany. Quotes seem to be in the range of 70 USD from Dubai! I've got a flight to London in a couple of days, so I'm thinking I might just ship it from there for 15 GBP instead.

Why is shipping so damn expensive?

FWIW, shipping from Germany to UAE would be € 16 for up to 2 kg, but € 47 for 2...5 kg, extras like insurance not included.

PSU definitely weighs more than 2 kilos though!

I'm pretty much set on taking this thing with me on my layover though. Just need to double check on a rumour that I get half price employee discounts from Dubai with DHL or FedEx tomorrow first. If true, it will only be twice as expensive as shipping from London, but I have a little more peace of mind.
