But as for BF, I was at circuit city last year around 3:30-4am and I was still the 20th in line. By opening time, the line had easily wrapped around the shopping complex.
Do you realize that if those 3 hours that you hadnt slept were spend doing a job with even a mediocre pay any savings that you had would be reduced to nothing.

Its funny how people who generally make a $hitload of money(your average geek) do crazy stuff like this to save $10-$50 bux per item

It's only once a yr so it's ok for me, especially I am still a student now!!

So, which $400 lappy should I go with, WalMart or BestBuy?

According to the asst mgr of electronics at local WalMart, the widely spread $400 price of their laptop is wrong .. it will be $498 or 499 instead. I tried arguing with him but he insists he is right. Will be interesting to see how much it actually is.

BTW, they have a EMachines notebook on display that looks very nice ... but the curious thing is that they have never stocked it yet still have a sign saying it is not in stock. Wonder if this will be another special deal?

Just FYI, this is for Sprint... Verizon and Sprint have the same phone with minor feature differences. You can even see the Sprint logo on the phone.

Hi, I did some checking for the $30 hard drive deals from Staples and CompUSA and have found the following.
The deal from CompUSA is a Seagate Barracuda 200GB and the one from Staples is a Maxtor Ultra Series 200GB hard drive. The only difference that I see between them is that the Seagate is an ATA 100 whlie the Maxtor is an ATA 133. I've read some bad reviews on Maxtors so I'm wondering which route to take. Thanks.

Oh, here are the links to both of them from CompUSA, Staples was out of stock.

Personally, I have Black Friday off and get paid for it since it's part of Thanksgiving Holiday. So yay for me...savings and I get paid. Pays to be a geek.

I really wish they would state whether the 200GB drives are PATA or SATA. If they are SATA I would be interested in increasing the size of my RAID array..hmm get 4 and get a 400GB Raid 0+1 array.
