Half-Life 2. Atmospheric and immersive, intense, innovative gameplay, excellent music and voice acting, awesome story.
Not my favorite game of all time (Chrono Trigger still holds that spot for me), but my favorite FPS of all time. Halo probably comes second.
Ive liked most FPS, Not that fond of the dark ones like AVP or Q3 (Dont get me wrong there great) especially in the past with no gamma adjustment.
Multiplayer, Tribes hands down ( Several friends and I played openly and on ower one private server with great senarios), Though we have moved on I boot it sometimes and still I am amazed how many servers and games still running after all this time.
Sadly, Tribes 2 was great also but with the servers gone its point to point or LAN only.
Im not much of a MP fan anymore as hacking of the tinest bit is a total turn off and wont touch it again unless LAN where I can reach over and beat the frak out of the cheater.
Another vote for CS:S! It's been years since it's release, and I still keep going back to it. It never gets old for me. It helps to stumble across mods that you didnt know were even available, too. WC3, GunGames, instant respawn deathmatches, zombies, the list goes on.
