There really is no best rapper because there are different characteristics of rap, delivery, lyrical content, freestyle battles, etc...

Im just going to say the most talented rapper ever is Mos Def. He can rap, and freestyle better than most, and to top if of hes the only rapper that I feel can actually act well in movies. I also think Nas is pretty solid, he never really crossed over to pop rap like Jay-Z or LL and kept it lyrical. I like Tupac as well only because he covered so many subjects, and you can actually sense some emotion in the majority of his raps. I used to like KRS one but he got all preachy. Eric B and Rakim were good back in the day, but too bad Rakim couldn't make a comeback.

You know I have no problem with rap but it's ridiculous for the OP to bash Godfather's list as "dogshit" simply because he only listed the most popular artists out right now. Let's face it, most of the ATOT scene do NOT know about underground artists so other than to show off how much he knows, theresn't not much point in that long ass list. Let's take a look at teh results and who got the most votes:
