How about FEAR or COD2 or some game that SLI supposedly runs circles around my lowly X850? I buy these cards for more than bragging rights and 3DMark scores. Double dare? :laugh:

I must be anti-social as I have played on almost all the AT UT2k4 servers I have ever seen. Even helped promote one for a while.

Here's the whole irony in the situation. Any mature intelligent individual could see through Rollo's crap really quick. I myself use an nVidia 6800 Ultra (I only do graphics work - so games isn't a big deal) and I find it annoying that I can't come into the Video forums and look at a thread on ATI or Nvidia products without seeing Rollo's diarrhea of the mouth - crapping on products/company. Now why would any civilized adult trash on another company over and over again? Do you think an adult would do sit around and do this on a continual basis? Use the search features and to go back and look at his threads. It's amazing the problems he has with a COMPANY. This isn't a person or something special. He's doing all of this for a product?

I have never seen shimmering mentioned in a review. So it must not be a problem.

That's funny, because that's exactly what HOCP said about shimmering, despite that many people on these foums have it, and I have personally seen it on my friend's 7800gt, and it wasnt pretty. No kidding. I only got my ATI X850XT because it was the best AGP card I could get at the time for the price. I wanted an Nvidia 6800Ultra but they were and are insanely expensive and disappearing fast. I would love a 7800GT AGP but they don't exist. A 6800GS with 12 pipes? Please...

I truly care nothing about the brand of my stuff if it works. I have a Maxtor, 2 WD's, an IBM, and a Seagate in my machine so that should say something... I am all about the bang for the buck.

Yes, Crossfire is problematic, but what people forget is that Crossfire is reletively new, as in, within the last few months. How long has SLI been around? I guess one of teh nvidia users at least can tell you that one.

ATi is still ironing out their problems with their new toy, with any luck this next gen of ATi cards will put an end to the majority of the issues. I doubt it, but I can dream.

Get over the childish challenges, the Rollo bashing (Who, for all his apparent ATi dislike has used the cards, and does know what he's talking about), and get back to the topic :| It's tiresome to have to scroll through several pages of garbage to find some semi interesting things.

Here's a tip. Set your forum settings to 100 posts per page and you won't have to scroll through so many pages.

The challenge may have been childish but then so is videogaming and the never-ending videogame forum fight. I can still remember all the TNT2/Voodoo owns "fill in blank" threads on the old Rivazone and these threads aren't half as informed as those ones were.
