heh - seems to be a lot faster

I let it run last night 100% low and 2 CPU cores at 95% idle. My X1900GT OCed to 650/720 and is running at 67C with a copper Zalman 700 cooler. It's going a lot faster than the other 2 instances on both my CPU cores (X2 4600+). The GPU folding is about 50% complete 10 hours into it. The other CPU clients have moved 5%. Does that seem about right?
With the GPU client on my mouse/desktop seems to pause ever other second. Doesn't affect the proccessing though. I can play music or record a TV show on my TV tuner and it comes out fine. Is that the same experience other people are having or is something setup wrong?
I guess another question I had was if I should enter 256MB (GPU memory) or 2048MB (system memory) when setting up the GPU client?
My temps are in the high 70's
so if it is that much faster how come I hear of 440ppd totals??? Each of my cpu cores now are good for ~200ppd now.....
If it is running that much faster on same (comparable) workunits then it should be getting a lot mopre then 440ppd...more like 2000ppd...
tried to run the GPU client on my X1900AIW and it told me the AIW is not supported

I had to redownload DirectX even though I most definately had 9.0c. What do you mean that it dies?Originally posted by: Markfw900
I have directx9 installed on every computer in my house, and not one has this file "d3dx9_30.dll " which was the culprit. I found it on the internet and downloaded and now it works, but it also dies every 20 minutes...

And I've given it more than enough time to load.

I get blank pages in the FF2 RC and in IE7. Conclusion: the site isn't working for some people, and I'm not sure that the problem is on our end.Originally posted by: Assimilator1
