Yesterday about mid-afternoon I stopped by the BMW dealership that I have been doing business with since 2004. The service department wasn't busy at all compared to a Monday or Friday but there were plenty of window shoppers in their sales lot. Only problem was slightly more than half of the parking spaces for new vehicles was empty. They have one main lot directly in front and another off to the left. The one to the left was a barren wasteland of empty spaces and the front section was about two-thirds occupied. Even before I got there I passed a Ford dealership across the street and it looked like it was going out of business with the lack of inventory. Maybe three vehicles between the front line of their property and their main building. And what inventory this BMW dealership seemed to have was more on the pricey side as deal-worthy inventory was all gone.
