Yeah, wow. I thought that it may have been too harsh a penalty, but after seeing it:
1. This was totally ridiculous, no attempt to hide/mask the intentions whatsoever.
2. The teams were clearly warned that they could both be disqualified. This alone justifies it IMO.

Been watching the 100m & 400m qualifiers for the last 1.5h.

Injured American favourite finished last in his 400m qualifier.

Now RDS (Quebec French sports channel) has switched to water polo and that's not as much fun to watch for me. Switching to CTV to watch the ladies long jump part of the heptathlon instead.

I like Canadian coverage. At least we get live events.

That was pretty entertaining to watch, as far as 25 laps of people running goes. She was ~1/4 lap ahead of the Kenyans by the end, the Kenyans looked like they were gasping for breath while Ababas (I think her name) looked like she was on a casual stroll.
