I see so much idiotic news coming out of florida that it made think, which state or states are the most sensible? I can't vote California because I realize that we are nutty in our own way. So I picked Maine.

I would poll this, but there's a maximum of ten options, so I decided using the poll feature wasn't worth it.

Of the places I've spent time I'd give Wisconsin, Iowa, and Wyoming fairly high marks for sensibility. Arizona, where I am now, is stark raving mad.

IA seems good. Of course, I moved from IL before so anything is going to seem like an improvement. Stay away from that black hole.

NV is my home state. Its not bad either, especially the lack of a lot of taxes that are here in IA.

MO didn't seem bad. Never lived there but lived right next door when in IL and worked there for a few years.

New England's got it together(except Massachusetts), and the weather's great. I'd happily live in Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine.

My vote is for New Hampshire.

No income tax.
Low regulation.
Many towns are largely staffed by volunteers
Only craziness relates to environmental issues, which is not always a bad thing. And it isn;t as bad as CA.

Seriously, Vermont sounds about perfect to me. Mountains, lakes, proper seasons with acceptable temperatures, etc...and you never really hear about it except for maybe gay rights, healthcare and maple syrup.

Excluding a couple mass shootings, Colorado has its shit together pretty well I think.

I'd move to Oregon; probably the only other place in the United States of America I would actually move to, aside from San Francisco of course. I'd live in SF right now if I could.

North Dakota was pretty awesome in its own way. There really aren't a lot of laws and you can do as you please as long as you don't fuck with anyone else. Even the speeding tickets are capped at $1/mph over the limit. Public services were considered just that - things that cost other states a fuckload of money were very cheap there.

It was also rated very high on the "how free is your state?" list.

Really low unemployment, sensible people except for two major issues: abortion, and fairly strong anti-drug laws It is always something I guess.
