i can't think of a single cancel button for any game... or for anything, really, that ever actually worked. every time i tried one, it'd always complete the action it was doing anyways.

I realized a while back that I preferred white on black than black on white. sure, text stands out more, but i'd rather not have eystrain from the entire monitor blaring white.

Sounds like your monitor is too bright. I bought a color calibration system and was shocked at how dim it make me turn my monitors. After a few days I was used to it, and everything looked better.
