Well at least now I know who to ask when it comes time to buy a stick for the next Street Fighter!
KT

i actually have a circle gate for the sanwa too. i wanted to try it after using the octo gate for a while, because growing up with happ parts the had no gates or anything. the sanwa circle gate feels a lot like how the happ feels, because it is the same thing where there are no directions to "catch" the stick. but after using the circle gate shortly i went back to the octogate pretty quickly. i think the circle gates with the sanwa is a little tougher because the sticks have much less of a throw than the happ parts do. it was a lot easier for me to get directions with the happ joystick than it is for the sanwa with the circle gate.
if you like the square gate i really would see no reason why you would want to really try something different, unless it's just for the feel.
The first version of the TE did feel a bit "cheap" in the case area. I think the SF X Tekken stick felt a lot more solid. I am still waiting on Amazon for my TE2. I am just playing other games until I get it; I am just awful without a stick. I think I just dislike the game when I know I can do something (like anti air DP) and then I fail to input SRK motion half the time.
I'll have my stick tomorrow and can start doing some practice and such.
nice, just call before you go to be sure they get it cause i think you said you are getting it from gamestop. based on posts over on srk, gamestops actually getting them and their dates are all over the place. some got em already, but many others haven't and they have no clue when they are going to be getting them in stock.
I ordered in store but it is shipping from the warehouse in Texas to my house. It is scheduled for delivery via ups tomorrow.
Basically what happened was the store had no reserve SKU in the system at the time but since it was available online they could order in store and have it shipped to me. When they do this you get free shipping no matter the cost or weight (for standard ground). This was fine for me as it is only a couple days transit time from Texas to Florida.
From what I gather they arrived to the warehouse in time for launch and they began shipping orders on Friday. Not every store will get them and pretty much only pre-orders are going to be filled at most locations.
ah gotcha, yeah if you ordered to your house and have tacking and stuff you are good. but many stores who even took preorders didn't get them yet. and stores are ONLY getting them for preorders, and according to in store, they will never carry it in store other than this initial batch of preorders. if you want one now they direct you to just order it online.
It says unavailable now too on the website heh. I wonder if it made a difference that I went to GameStop on the first day it was up. Otherwise I may not get one yet.
Madcatz needs to make this a regular item for them and make more of these. I was thinking of picking up a second one but might have to wait for multiconsole sticks or mods.
Does the TE2 work in a computer like the original 360 sticks do?

curious, what benefits are you talking about over the te? just that it's easier to mod?
you wouldn't be finding one of them around any time soon anyways heh.
