AHHH man does it kill batteries heh. but then agian i been playing a lot.
they should have made it re-chargeable.
I've heard a few other complaints about this as well, but I haven't experienced anything like this. I have about 20 hours between Wii Sports and Zelda and it still shows my main controller as having full battery life.
I've found that to be typical of a lot of electronics... they show full capacity until they're almost done, then they drop rapidly. I had both of mine die after about a week and about 30 hours of play. And those are Panasonics, which I think are pretty crappy (I've seen them for $1 in a 4 pack at Target and $.79 for a 4 pack at my local grocery store). Replaced with NiMh rechargeables.

I had my first remote slip today. "Luckily" enough I released it while bowling and the controller went straight up at a significant rate of speed. I put a 1/4" deep dent in my parents ceiling . I did get the strike, though!
How did the wiimote survive? Still work perfectly?
Yep, works great.
IGN put a dent in their wall with one. It broke into three pieces, but they put it back together and it still worked.
iamwiz, were you using the wrist strap? I reinforced my wrist straps just in case. Hopefully Nintendo beefs up the wrist straps in the near future.
