Well, my games shipped yesterday from my walmart bundle, but not the console
Won't that be fun... to have six mediocre games sitting here just waiting for something to be played on.

I just started dorking around at wiicade.com here at work (because I really don't want to do anything remotely productive today) and CurveBall is going to become extremely addictive I can see it now. Tactical Assassin was fun but simple. I can't wait to try them using the Wiimote.

Wow....my parents just called and said when I come over for the family Christmas Eve dinner and gift thing that I need to bring my Wii so that my mom and dad, sister, aunts and uncles can play....

Make sure to properly instruct them on strap usage and staying out of arm's reach of players

I'm posting this from the Wii! The browser seems to work fairly well but typing with the controller is a nightmare.

You know I will admit this, although I don't know if i should ...

Last night, while playing bowling, just normally, the controller actually did slip out of my and as I bowled. I was wearing the strap though luckily. If I hadn't though, it would have been thrown into a wall and not the tv.



So yes, I have admitted it, that I actually had the controller slip from my hands, and thankfully I was wearing the strap.

For those who have finished Zelda:TW - how long did it take you? I'm about 8 hours in to it and am working on the 2nd spirit.

Just curious how many hours I'm going to have to dedicate over the holidays.

Unfortunately not, there is talks of being able to use external flash/hard drives via USB but right now I don't think you can do anything but charge stuff. I would think the USB keyboard would be simple to implement so hopefully they get off their butts and make it happen.

Are the Wii controllers IR or RF?? I would normally think RF, but the Wii controller has what looks like an IR window on the front.

I'd like to put it in my closet with my Xbox 360. Will the controllers still work?

54 hours.. last zelda i played was the super nintendo zelda version.

i did go out and buy windwaker today for 12.99 used from gamestop though..

IIRC the sensor bar over the TV uses IR and the Wiimote uses bluetooth to talk back to the Wii itself. Barring heat reasons (especially considering you have a 360 in there) I don't see any reason why you couldn't.

heh...i know what you mean. im just waiting for smash bros brawl to come out (playing zelda TP, gamecube games i never got to play, and VC games), and im willing to bet that mostly everyone that has it will be playing it nonstop online.

no i think its the same reason i didnt buy one...I feel its very gimicky and the controller will only be "cool" for so long.

Nah. I think I'm just growing out of gaming. I don't even play my PS2 or xbox much anymore. I was really excited about the Wii coming out, too. I'd like to wait for Mario Galaxy to come out but I don't think I can wait that long. Anyone want a used Wii w/ accessories at cost?

What is the sensor bar? How does it attach to the Wii?

If my Wii is in the closet, how do I attach the bar to the Wii?

The sensor bar emits an IR signal that the IR port on the Wiimote detects. It only connects to the Wii to get power. So if you can't run the wire from the closet, just google how to make a wireless Wii sensor bar.

Woohoo. I finally got a Wii. My friend and I waited at a Wal-Mart for their Fedex shipment, for 4 hours. It never showed. We went around to K-Mart, no luck. After getting a bite to eat, we stopped by EB Games, even though they had told us the previous day that they were not getting a shipment of Wiis. Fortunately, we seemed to get there shortly after their shipment for the day. The guy we talked to said they didn't get any Wiis in the shipment. The guy beside him said he'd double check. Lo and behold, they had 3! We both picked one up. It's about time. Played Twilight Princess for 4 hours tonight. I wish it was a bit more difficult, but it's still a very fun game!
