Right.

So what do you think will be its concept art? Perhaps they might still go with this one...

If so, what will that negate on the so call confirmed controller posted by the T.S, an wasent there speculations that they were going to do away with CD's or are they optional?

I think thats still a cool concept art, a bit dangerous if its truley glass, but still pretty cool. I just wanna see some revivals, a line up of..

-Legend of the Dragoon's
-Remakes or sequels of final fantasy 4-10 + Tactics in HD
-Mega man legends
-Spyro the dragon
-Devil may cry
-Kingdom hearts
-Twisted Metal
-Star ocean

an I’m good.

That was just one of several that some internet users made on photoshop or something a few years back.
Honestly i would rather have something that doesn't stick out like a sore thumb on my TV stand next to the cable box, BR player, Reciever..etc. I really prefer the latest Xbox concept, simple rectangle with rounded edges, sleek without looking like the head of Voltron or some other funky shape.

Oh? That sucks, I was hoping for the glass one than out of the other 3 I saw, the red one looks way out of touch, the slim black one looks okay, an the one the size of the wii u looks unlikely.

So ya got any pics that might be the next Ps4 or X720?

No one has any pics of the next systems coming out.

I had a ps1 and PS2, I've just grown comfortable with the Xbox platform. Steam sales are enticing and even though I do well buying/selling/trading used games its getting old.

Yeah, that glass pic has been around a very long time. I remember seeing it not long after the PS3 launch.

People love to mock up crazy concepts for what future consoles would look like.

Well we already know what the controller looks like:

..which means, it's a very high probability the console is going to be black. You're not going to have mismatching colors, obviously.
And given the recognizable shape of the controller, I doubt we're going to see a radical departure in the physical shape and dimensions of the console itself.

all it needs to be is a black rectangle. matte finish, and hopefully if its ront loading is not domed like the PS3, cant rest anything on it when its like that

I saw that thread once and browsed over it ever so briefly. I swear, the dude must sit on all those links just waiting for that debate to come up lol

Actually no, It was a learning experince. I thought the average person could have contributed to creditable info, but much to the surprise, the average person is only intrested in stateing a bias opinion an dashing out. Theres literally 100's of that same topic, basically every forum has one, Via=a off topic or lounge area. So I dident even post on 1/1,000th of L vs T threads out there.

But I did learn a thing or two, dont seek out information on non-affiliated sites, (which tends to run into trolls=Like Zinfamous) I wont be tagging along anymore on this type of sites on that subject, I'll just be getting information straight from Zoologist, Archaeologist, Theologians an so forth. But I really dont know why it would bother you, every one has looked up a similar topic in "any subject" before. Which the last time I checked in terms credability, no one can make one opinion or have just one knowledge on one account of anything an deem it the solution or conclusion, sometimes a little work must be puttin into it.

But anyways....

The Ps4 Controller dosent look all that great. -_-

I actually like the look of the PS4 controller. As long as they can tighten up the sticks to give it a little more precision, then I will be pretty happy with it.

i really hope the gimmicky touch pad is not used randomly in games.

last night i was playing some sly cooper and there is a part where you HAVE to use the six axis motion controls to roll a marble through a series of obstacles, and it's fucking retarded and makes it so much more difficult than it has to be. i was playing the game in a recliner all comfortable and shit and had to sit up so i could keep the controller flat then tilt it to make the marble move. terrible design.

It's a touch pad.

In an awkward location imo. Imagine trying to actually use it, you would have to use your thumbs if you're holding the gamepad as normal, reaching up over the thumbsticks, stretching those thumbs out, moving them around....i'm skeptical of it's practicality and usability. Actually i'd rather see the touchpad on the back, make use of those, otherwise unused fingers...i think the Vita is like that right?

Technically, the Vita is both front and back, but yes there is a touch pad on the backside.

If the Vita is any indication, you will be raging at the PS4 games and their random use of the touch pad. Although, the Vita is probably worse since it has a touch screen and a touch pad (on the back).

The new controller looks slightly wider than the Dualshock 3, I can't find any pictures with both for an exact comparison, but the pad encompasses the range where start and select were before. We should be able to reach it for occasional taps. I can see it being useful for something like navigating around a map in a menu, swiping to move the map, and even pinch to zoom. Few games have you constantly mashing every single button, so with good game design there's no reason for the pad to be used for anything other than secondary functions. However, its ultimately up to the developers whether or not it gets used in a way that's useful or troublesome.

I would prefer that for the most part it gets used as an alternative, like the option to use d-pad or stick for scrolling or menu navigation, rather than replacing another control, like shaking a Wii-mote instead of pressing a button. If you really need extra functions to be quickly accessed there's no reason you couldn't do something much simpler and expansive such as changing the function of all of the face or d-pad buttons when you hold one of the shoulder buttons or triggers.

Yeah the zooming in part using your fingers sounds a bit of a luxury.

Sorry for going off topic, but I noticed something pretty funny last night, I watched the latest spider man, an saw that one of the actors (the Indian guy) was the same person who acted in the life of Pi (with the bengal tiger) =the older version of him self.

What was funny was, there was a scene where that indian guy was talking to the lizzard professor an mentions Peter parkers dad...Richard Parker...an in the movie the life of Pi, the person who was litstening to his story was told the bengal tigers name was Richard Parker XD XD XD

I just find it funny that the same actor mentions the same name of one of the key point characters, probably happens millions of times before in other movies with other actors, but I just took notice an found it hilarious.
