I hear a lot of hate on Killzone, if it's that badly mentioned then it's probably not that good of a game, kind of like that last Wolfenstein game. Apparently FIFA 14 has mixed hate and love, some say it was the worst FIFA release to date from EA.
It seems quieter on the side... I played some more Contrast and while I did hear the fan, it wasn't as loud or annoying as before. And it was speeding up and down now and then. I'll try to make a video and post it to YT.
Problem is, my right leg's busted so I'm stuck in bed the next 9 weeks or so. And I bought the console online, so taking it back is a no-go. I'd need to start an RMA process...
Anyway, let me see if I can make a recording and I'll post it later.
Thanks!
Mine is standing next to my PC and I don't even notice the fan, funny because my HTPC has 1 fan (CPU) and I still hear it.

My ps4 was really loud laying down, but I bought some felt pads to put under the four corners to balance out since I got a wobbly ps4, and that seemed to help the noise a bunch.
I can say with certainty that my PS4 is definitely not wobbly.
Mine is on the floor under my little tv table but I have it sitting flat on a book. I haven't noticed it being wobbly either. It doesn't have large rubber feet it seems universally flat all through out.

It does have the rubber strips but the system sits perfectly flat, and when I press on any corner or side the only movement is the compression of the rubber strip as it absorbs the pressure of me pushing down on the top, but it only moves a few mm and returns to it's original position immediately after. It's firmly planted to the shelf I sit it on. I am lead to believe that anyone with a wobbly system has a defective unit, or the surface they are using isn't perfectly flat to begin with. I even checked it just now with a level and when I press on it, it doesn't go out of level nearly enough for there to be any adverse effects to the BD-Rom drive or HDD. With the amount of pressure I need to apply to make it move, it will not wobble during normal usage.

They're all wobbly. Still not sure why, but Sony used a 3-point rubber feet lay out instead of four.
I, too, put some extra rubber feet. Mine actually raise the console a little higher than the original feet.
Maybe you guys wouldn't consider it "wobbly" but no other console I've owned or have sitting out with the PS4 (its about 10ish) have this odd tri-point design Sony went with.
Perhaps they changed something, but the two (and all the pics I've seen of launch units) have that 3-point design versus a 4-point which every other console has.
If you press on the left side of the console where it has no rubber feet, it will raise the opposite corner ever so slightly, and then it will dip back. This is "wobbling" to a lesser degree. It isn't stable/flat in the slightest. EDIT: Had to load the article in cache since it's blocked at work. If you load a disc, the console will shift, it is very minute (almost a non-issue) but again, I don't get why they went with this design. For starters, the disc drive AND HDD are on the left side of the console, when the laser motor starts to spin and the laser shifts reading, the console will clearly "move." It's something I noticed in my two units and I only know this because of my BLOD issue with my first unit I went through exhausting trouble shooting steps. Again - it isn't bad, almost a non-issue, but it is present and for anyone not using a stable surface, it could be a bigger issue.
This isn't a bad thing, just an odd design choice considering how robust the damn thing is built. Like removing one rubber foot from the BOM made any difference.
That isn't wobble. Read the article I linked from Kotaku closely. The console tilts, yes tilts, only when you push on it. The system doesn't wobble unless you put unreasonable force on one side. That's not design flaw, that's not an "issue", it's in your head and no it does not move when I put a disk in, at all. If yours does as you claim, then the plastic is warped or something because it does not move normally.
1a : to move or proceed with an irregular rocking or staggering motion or unsteadily and clumsily from side to side
b : tremble, quaver
2: waver, vacillate
Mine is on a solid surface. When I tap it on either side it does not seem to move at all.
EDIT: Do a simple test, put it on a surface that isn't solid, then bump into the surface (ie a table) and watch/listen to your PS4 shift in movement - it wobbles.
EDIT #2:
I wonder if this is what the other user reported experiencing:
