Yep my store got one box which I believe is something like 60 copies, I don't remember. Anyway they only had 3 total out of that box that were not pre-orders.
They said that sometimes happens. Sometimes they even get just one copy if nobody pre-orders.
Also I didn't see this mentioned but the PS4 firmware v1.75 is live and it enables 3D Blu-Ray support. I don't know if this would allow me to replace my stand alone player...still no media remote for PS4. Anyone have any info on this? Is it full 1080p playback with full lossless bitstream support or is it somehow limited like the PS3 where you could not bitstream in 3D or whatever it was?
Edit: Well, I answered my own question through testing. The PS4 will bitstream DTS-HD MA when watching a 3D Blu-Ray at 1080p. The disks load an average of 5-10 seconds slower than my stand alone player. Audio and Video quality is the same between them since I have my stand alone player set to bitstream and not to adjust any video prior to output. It has options to change the RGB scale etc but I leave everything set to off or neutral. Aside from some very slight pausing between chapter skips I didn't notice any problems.
So now it becomes a question of whether or not there will ever be a media remote for the PS4 or if I will forever have to use my DS4 for play/pause/rewind etc. Also if the 10 seconds extra loading is a bit deal if I can consolidate my devices. It's not much of a difference and usually when the disk is loading I'm grabbing a drink and maybe a snack anyhow. I don't need a stand alone in another room, I don't have a 3D TV outside the game room. The XB1 also will not bitstream lossless audio like TrueHD or DTS-HD MA. It converts it to LPCM and then outputs that. I'd rather let my AVR handle the decoding and add the room correction etc. I believe it to be superior to LPCM out from the player.
What's everyone's thoughts? My Stand alone isn't an Oppo or high end unit like that.
