according to some things i've been reading today, don mattrick is part of the reason that rare started to develop a buncha crap games, specifically kinect stuff. and that guy on twitter is apparently an ex-rare employee.
EDIT:
quick google search on his name + rare...

Now you'll have to log into Farmville every 24 hours or your animals die.
You can also expect PETA to take over the farm. Now you'll have to log into Farmville every 24 hours or your animals die.
I highly doubt that. Everything I have read said it was a suprise, and how many high level execs already have a contract with another company the day that the are fired. He had this lined up or has been working on leaving the company for a bit.MS is stating her was "fired" as per a scheduled exec shuffle, noting related to the Xbox One launch / announcements at all. They might have timed this shuffle to coincide with the announcement just in case something goes "wrong".

i just played killer instinct at evo. game is going to be so awesome.
i only played 3 matches and played each character each round.
jago felt pretty familiar.
saberwulf felt like a mashers dream come true.
glacius i was not a fan of. not a fan of his new design in general either. just feels and looks like a totally different character. doesn't even have his fireball that bounces across the screen. and the ice puddle uppercut is totally different.
also, i'm nto a fan of the stock te sticks with the square gate and loose joysticks, so i was having trouble with some moves in general too.
i'll post some pics and vids when i get back from my trip though. paid $10 to get in and was there for like 45 minutes or so. watched them play on the big screen for a bit then got in line to play and had to leave after playing 3 matches (which was the limit) cause i gotta go eat for my wifes birthday!
EDIT:
here is a match with a 90 hit glacius ultra. this guy was apparently on like a 30 game streak.

There's some interesting talk in this video about what they're doing with Killer Instinct and the Kinect:

What if I don't want the same character I've been using? I don't know that I'd automatically want it to select Fullgore if I want to try using Jago.
Interesting, but it's an instant "leave this feature off" for me.
The problem I have with that, is isn't that the whole effing point of the unique gamer IDs? It should be able to do stuff like that just based on you logging in. Plus, what if you're wearing a hat or one day you wear glasses?

That is the point of unique gamer IDs (or gamertags in the Xbox world). The Kinect will recognize you and automatically switch to your gamertag and your settings/favorites. It's easier than having to log in or switch your profile each time. It sees you holding the P1 controller, for example, and switches to your info for player 1. Of course, you then run into the question of whether not you'll have to register your face with each new X1 console you use, or if that data will travel with your gamertag, requiring just a password login at each new console you use.
It's a neat concept. Not earth-shattering new or life changing but neat nonetheless. If you insist on still logging in and setting your stuff manually, I'm sure that's an option as well.
