If I get a console it'll still likely be the PS4. If there's any chance The Last of Us will have a sequel or follow up, or The Last Guardian!, on PS4, that's what I'm getting. PS3 to me had better exclusives.
For me, MS didn't remove another piece of bullshit I'm mad about - the Kinect. I don't want one, don't need one, don't want to pay for one, don't want to set one up, don't want it staring at me and listening to me. I'm guessing that's why Sony is able to undercut them, the Kinect was around $100 and that's how much extra the XBone is set to be. I don't see how it will affect many games, especially since multi-platform games won't be utilizing it much if at all. The only thing that might be cool is if you could use it as a standing mic for online play - but can the Kinect even do that? I have no interest in Kinect based games though, if I really did I'd just play a Wii or play outside
Also I've read some people speculating this may be the last console generation, why is that? Do you think in like 8 years or so they'll be able to do it via cloud computing or switch a more OnLive type approach? Or will the technology accelerate too much for them to keep up with a console?
