I know all the greatness of the book is lost when translating to English, but is there a decent treatment of it? which book would you recommend?

Did you know Muslims are taught, as part of their faith, to outright lie about their religion. You can lie all you want to advance the cause of Islam. I wouldn't trust anyone who says it's peaceful. Besides anyone who reads the Quran will know it's not. Mohommad was a bloodthirsty dude. They preach hatred toward non believers.

Seriously, I've started reading the book, I know someone who's read it multiple times (because, let's be fair, it's a nice book. Just a fscked up religion ) and we both agree that Islam is ANYTHING BUT peaceful.

It's amazing how you read a book that was writtin 100% in Arabic and 100% in poetry and yet you could understand it.

i'm surprised.

Usually Muslims themselves have hundreds of questions about the book and turn to elders to translate the meanings, but you have mastered the book.

So tell me guy who has read the book what are the objects men cannot wear in Islam?

What I don't understand, is all the talk of the disbelievers. There is no talk or effort of turning the disbelievers into believers (through preaching, teaching, etc.). So do they simply believe they have a birthright and are superior towards all, and therefore must simply kill the non believers instead of converting them?

The jews believe something similar (that they are God's chosen people), but instead of going after the non believers, they simply leave them alone.

hey, most white supremacists haven't killed anyone, or beaten their children etc. it doesnt mean their supremacist ideology is any good.

Jews are against conversions and usually just promote the seven noahide laws to non-Jews. A non-Jew who follows the 7 laws obtains the righteous level of high-priest.

Muslims believe that the Koran is a miracle in of itself. The beauty of writing is supposed to be unmatched. I would guess that it should be read in the original Arabic by someone who understands the nuances. Similiarly, the Hebrew bible should be read in the original Hebrew by one who understands the nuances.

i'm actually thinking of taking arabic classes in college once i get the time... arabic writing is awesome
