I'm building a new system and have chosen the Prescott 3.4ghz processor... naturally the stock cooler has got to go, so...
Thus far I've read 3 reviews on this CoolerMaster Hyper 48 cooler. 1 was glowing, 1 was good, and the other was meh. Both the glowing and the good review showed great differences in temperatures from Hyper 48 to stock, which is always good!
Outside of installation, weight, cost... how does this thing really perform for YOU? I like the low noise levels that's for sure. I will be using this new system mainly for a/v editing and processing, so I need something (air-cooling ) to keep things in check, esp. with this hot hot hot prescott.
If you don't like this cooler setup, what would you recommend (make/model)? I see people like the Thermaltake coolers here. Noise is a consideration for me but not too important. COOLING is important!
Thanks!
edit: 3.4 not 3.2ghz, sheesh.
