I read every post, and I still have tearing in HL2 (and WoW and SW:KotOR, but NOT in CoD:UO) on my SLI system, and NO clue how to fix it or if other people see it. Only one other person (the thread starter) reported the problem.

- Can anyone else see it?

- Can anyone tell me how to fix it without buying a new monitor?

Please, no criticism of my hardware or questions as to why I selected it. If it won't work, please point out the defective part and what I should purchase to fix the problem.

Thanks all.

The solution? Dont run $1000 worth of graphics cards on a $200 mobo and expect perfect image quality on your $150 display.

So much for not criticizing my hardware. The monitor is a Viewsonic VP201b, which commonly retails for about $700.00.

Since my P95f+ which costs less than half of that can do 1600x1200 @ 85hz, you mustn't have your refresh rate properly configured, or its an LCD.

You are comparing a CRT to an LCD. Refresh rate means absolutely nothing on an LCD.

Notice there is no edit on my post, i mentioned OR ITS AN LCD.

Congrats, you found one of the major drawbacks to an LCD.

It's an LCD alright. But I don't understand what the drawback is? I've never had any tearning issues (ie, vsync always appeared to work) before SLI. With just one 6800GT, there is no tearing. So, it doesn't seem to make sense that the tearing is caused by some technological flaw inherit to LCD screens, otherwise, the lone 6800GT using the same drivers would cause the same problem, correct? Sorry, just trying to understand.
