A clip on Fox I caught on social media had Maria Baritomo complaining that people abroad are not buying Dodge Rams after a reporter was interviewing a dealer...

Have you seen the streets in cities that have been built more for people than cars? Also, gas prices abroad. And also, people abroad don't have as much to spend on vehicles.

She was just super mad that dealer was like "Yeah these tariffs are gonna fuck us up real good" implying Trump had done something wrong.

And the markets sagged on the news. Investors want off this ride ASAP.
This will not stop Canadians from boycotting American products, as you know. And it won't stop our former allies to seek out alternative markets. America has shown it is not only psychopathic, but completely unreliable in every phase, from economic to militarily. it's an unhinged country led by evil and incompetence, and that's it

There is no point in making a contract with an American company when it could suddenly become uneconomic overnight because Trump got a bad steak. Certainly not if there are other comparable and more reliable alternatives.

Seems fine, what are you talking about?

Looks like Trump is suspending tariffs on many Mexican goods for a month. I mean this is just a clown show

A monthly attempt at market manipulation?

Sell stocks
Threaten tariffs -stocks tank
Buy Stocks
Rescind threat - stocks improve.
Rinse repeat.

(Except repeatedly causing market chaos will drag stocks down regardless)

Kinda looking like we have already arrived at this stage. Tolerance for this day by day trade war merry go round seems to be just about exhausted. People are starting to go "Nah, I'm out."

Trying to think of an equivalent statement. Maybe claiming that the sun rotates around the earth instead of the other way round?

The American Dream is and has always been to be ruled by the unaccountable elite wealthy and happily grovel for crumbs! You liberals always revise history to suit your agenda

Wonder who's getting advanced notices of what will really be the Trump policy on tariffs. Nice buying opportunities if you get the email. I would go back and link it, but it's basic market manipulation 101. This is patently unethical and probably illegal. I know.. does it really matter anymore.

As a Canadian, I don't care if Trump postpones the tariffs on Canada another month. It's too late. FAFO tipsy doodle, yoyo-ing around. It's enough. It's tiring. The orange monkey can't make up his mind. It's over. Stop playing us. We've had enough. Fuck USA.

Oh boy, got an email today from an electronics company that all their components will be increasing in price by either 33.75% for China produced parts and 18.75% for parts from Mexico.

I pre-ordered a (made in China) synthesizer back in December, I hope the price doesn't go up by the time it's expected in July... if it goes up that much I'm probably cancelling and just waiting for one to surface on the used market eventually.

I had a Mouser order placed before the tariffs in which a couple of items were backordered. Got an updated invoice this week that shows a new total for those items because of the added tariffs (evidently the parts in question are from China). Not a huge deal, but didn't expect it on an existing order.
