Yeah, UCLA instead of Cal, which had the math department that brought us Ted Kaczynski, was maybe a better idea. This was the 1960's. I don't know when you were in the UC system. When I went to UCLA a memorable moment was my passing Lew Alcindor in the hallway, we were walking in opposite directions and there was quite a flow of people. Of course, he was head and shoulders above everyone else, recognizable as hell (for me) and impossible to miss.Wild that an upper division course would be so big. Kind of glad I didn't get into Cal then and went to UCLA instead lol (Berkeley was my first choice school, UCLA my second).
