I have 2 jalapeno plants, 2 poblano pepper plants, and a shishito pepper plant waiting to be planted in the greenhouse...along with 3 tomato plants of different varieties. I noticed today that two of the maters have blossoms...and they're still in their plastic cups.I have 9 tomato plants in the backyard, average height over 18 inches, many blossoms, spotted my 1st tomato yesterday, about the size of a small pea.
I haven't had good luck growing peppers but figure to try again this year. I think maybe the potted plants I've been buying at Home Depot were root bound. Peppers evidently don't like that, unlike tomato plants. So, I figure to pick up one or two plants from a quality nursery. It's not warm enough here yet for peppers to do much.

There are at least 2 A&W restaurants that I know of in DFW, so there are some in the south, but I've never ate at one either. Until the mid-70s, you could only get A&W root beer from the restaurants. They would sell gallon jugs if you wanted to take some home. Then Pepsi bought the bottling rights.
