From almost the moment Adolf Hitler took office as chancellor of Germany, tariffs were at the top of his government’s economic agenda. The agricultural sector’s demands for higher tariffs “must be met,” Hitler’s economic minister, Alfred Hugenberg, declared on Wednesday, February 1, 1933, just over 48 hours into Hitler’s chancellorship, “while at the same time preventing harm to industry.”
...
Hitler had what one might call a diffident, occasionally felonious disregard for financial matters. He owed 400,000 reichsmarks in back taxes. His understanding of economics was primitive. “You have inflation only if you want it,” Hitler once said. “Inflation is a lack of discipline.
Hitler’s trade war with his neighbors would prove to be but a prelude to his shooting war with the world.
Oh, the guy who said he wanted generals like Hitler's generals, has repeatedly used similar language as Hitler, and kept a book of Hitler's speeches that were given to him by a friend in his bedside cabinet? What are the odds he'd keep going with the Hitler parallels, right? And Hitler did it as well, it seems he was almost as clueless about finance as Trump:
Hitler’s Terrible Tariffs
By seeking to “liberate” Germans from a globalized world order, the Nazi government sent the national economy careening backwards.www.theatlantic.com
Hitler had inherited a Recovering economy was warned by just about everyone against the tariffs. They were a disaster. I hope Trump doesn't follow the full trajectory.

Good morning to you too Mr. Christian hating, slandering, lying bigot. Congratulations on passing the asshole test with flying colors.
My post below that got this all started was a response to the previous post about the democratic party making itself irrelevant, criticized both parties equally, and more importantly:
1.) Did not personally attack anyone here.
2.) Had valid criticisims of both parties.

Based on previous reports for other negotiations, is the team even empowered to make a deal? Do they even have something tangible they want? And how will they stop Trump from backing out of any agreed deal?It seems the Chinese have walked out of the talks in Geneva.
Edit: the US delegation left too apparently about the same time as after two hours the talk ended. Doesn't seem promising.
No chance she will be on a ticket for president. So obviously stupid as she is. She's worried about her congressional seat and trying to counter (with little success) the sense that people with any intelligence justifiably have that she's out of touch.No.. she wants to be POTUS and is trying to get a higher profile now when things will likely become a trainwreck shortly so she can be the "prophet".
Color me shocked that the UK "deal" is basically nothing. Certainly not a good sign for things to come.
The Farce of the Deal

NEW from me: Trump’s trade “deal” with the UK is a farce—it only affects 0.3% of US imports, got basically no “concessions” from the UK, and barely lowered overall US tariff rates That’s an extremely bad sign for “deals” to come https://www.apricitas.io/p/farce-of-the-dealbsky.app

What's the date on the last one?
Didn't see.. I'm guessing it's before he went out of business because people won't pay 145%.

I don't think that strategy will work for very long. I suppose some shoes can be imported form Vietnam instead, but how is he going to replace his cheap inventory?I was wondering if it was that, or going out of business was BS to get a lot more sales. Basically a more round about "Donate to me" ploy.
A google search shows him still in business. Hawking shoes 2 hours ago.
What could go wrong?
CNN - Zero ships from China are bound for California’s top ports. Officials haven’t seen that since the pandemic

It's all part of dear leader's Great Leap Forward! (MAGA Version)
