Will Witcher 3 run comfortably well on 1920*1080 resolution with an I5 4590?
Do you mean an i5-4590 in combination with a videocard ?
If so, the answer is yes. The i5-4590 is a new CPU, i5 means it has 4 cores. That's more than enough to play any modern game. As Pinky says, the performance (fps) will depend on what kind of videocard you have.

If you mean an i5-4590 without a videocard, then the answer is no. The i5-4590 has an integrated graphics procesing unit (iGPU). iGPUs have become a lot more powerful over the last 10 years. But they are still not even close to the performance of a dedicated videocard. The Witcher 3 is a heavy game, and requires a lot of graphics compute power. And iGPUs can not deliver that power.

See here the minimum requirements.
http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/32979-The-Witcher-3-Wild-Hunt-PC-System-Requirements-are-here!

Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 660 or AMD GPU Radeon HD 7870 videocard.
An iGPU is not good enough. Sorry.

Gwent is Awesome.....
I cannot believe I waited this long to give it a proper go.
I am sad I have missed out on the Barons unique card but have many other great ones.

If he is already
dead or gone
his card should be laying on a table in his office along with a list of other players in Velen that you can challenge.

Still loving Gwent, but it's too easy to build an OP deck. I think I'm currently on a winning streak about 40-50 games long.

See my Awesome random draw below.

I too didn't play gwent once. Now I'm pissed I missed out on a few cards that you only get one chance to get during quests.

Once I figured out how awesome gwent is I stopped doing quests and exclusively went hunting cards.

Decoys, Spies, and Medic cards make your deck super OP. You can res a card with a medic. Decoy the Medic and res another card right away. I pretty much can't lose now unless I get absolutely no unit cards in my draw.

Yeah, I think there needs to be some limits on both hero cards and special ability cards to bring some balance to the game. IIRC I have 4 spies and 2-3 decoys in my deck. When I draw most of them, and the opponent gives them back to me by using their own decoy or medic cards, there's no way to lose.

I did go back and do that, wasnt sure what I picked up.
What exactly is his Unique card?
Anyways now that my Deck is decked out (see what I did there?)
its rather easy unless I get a terrible random draw.
What helps a lot are Commander's Horn. I put 3 in my deck to increase the chance of getting at least one. Medics and Spies (the one with the eye)
are also very strong. I use Spies as a bait to try and force the apponent
to use a couple more cards, whilst recouping cards and let them win first hand via pass choice.
I tend to focus on Ranged + Siege.
My highest score I think is around 170.

I did the same thing. I stopped normal questing and focused on hunting down as many cards as possible.
I am trying to get my monster deck up but its slow going. Elven one is so so.
My main deck, Northern Realms (King Foltest) is potent now.
Commando's Horn + Frost card + medic and throwing first round with a spy is almost certain victory if you have the right cards. I always use the Leader with clear weather effects.

What was everybody's armor progression like?

I'm 45hrs into the game, only did one of the major quest line in Velen (trip to the Bog) and I'm still using the upgraded starting chest piece with some better legs and gloves.

I haven't found a chest piece that even looks good on Geralt, hopefully the Witcher gear looks good and I will be doing those treasure hunts once I gain a few more levels.

Thanks guys for the reply. Of course I meant i5 with a decent gpu. I heard that it can max an i7 4790. That got me thinking...

I am in the same boat as you. I have a mix of Relic pieces, some way below my level but aside from loss of Armour they have fantastic stats.
So I could grab a Master crafted Blue or Magic with more armor but far less stats. :\

I have a 4790. Normal load is 4 cores (HT cores obviously) at maybe 75+%. The real load is in Novigrad which sees 6-8 cores loaded at that level.

Looks > stats.

In White Orchard I just wore every little upgrade I could find. Then I make the 2 Viper swords, just before I finished my last quest(s) in White Orchard. In Velen I continued wearing any upgrade I would get. Until I got a few recipes for the Cat-set.

I then went on a hunt to get the Cat-set. Made all 4 items and the 2 swords. They already looked a lot better than the clown-gear I got in White Orchard. But I didn't like the short sleeves of the Cat-gear. By then I had the recipes for the enhanced Griffin gear, but not the regular recipes. So I went looking for those too. (And I might have used a little help from the Witcher wiki to learn where to find the last 1 or 2 recipes). I made the Enhanced Griffin set. Looks good. No short sleeves, the gear looks like it's warm enough for Skellige. In Novigrad I had people in the street ask me if the Griffin gear wasn't too hot for me.

I think I will only wear complete sets. I'll keep upgrading my cat and griffin gear whenever I get the chance. I might make myself a bear set too (got a lot of recipes already). But I need bigger bagspace first (rumor has it that we'll get storage at Inns in a patch soon).

The only skin that I really like is the new DLC wolf set (mostly because of the mastercraft level). I also like the Temerian set that you get from the first vendor in White Orchard, but it's very low level. (people tell me that these DLC armor sets scale, but I'm only ever seeing them at level 5 or 15, and I'm level 34 now...so not sure what is going on with that).

I prefer the light armor sets due to the car class attribute, but I prefer the medium armor skins in general. the Witcher cat school gear is OK skinwise, but a little "jestery" imo.

I think that starter jacket is awesome, too--only wish it could be upgraded to an endgame set. For the most part, going with loot drops, especially relic class armor is good enough until yoiu get the schematics to complete various witcher sets.

I'm in a full set of mastercrafted witcher armor (wolf school lv34). I have a couple of relic weapons that beat out the witcher swords overall.

the relic steel swords are very good. None of the Witcher master steel swords can match ~80 armor penetration and ~75% crit damage. I think that's the Arbitrator, something like that? The one that you get from clan an Chract for completing their side mission is also solid. Winter's Grasp or something. (or, actually, I think it was attempting to recruit his help leading up to that big mission at the begging of act 3.) the adrenaline gain form witcher stuff is good...but those relics kill faster than you would ever need the adrenaline benefit.

I haven't found any relic swords that are as good as the master witcher swords, though. Maybe The Tamer? or is that steel...I forget.

I'm also wearing full Wolf armor now, mainly because the look is proper for Geralt, imo. I hate loosing the damage from light armor--stuff dies ridiculously fast, but it's somewhat refreshing being able to take more than two hits on max difficulty, now. Though I've gotten well used to avoiding damage.

Well, if you don't collect any of the relic weapons from spoils of war etc until you are much higher level they scale. All the way to lv68

they also repeat...possibly randomly? I've had a few versions of the Tamer (you can also get the recipe, which I assume also scales?). I wish this were the same, for me anyway, for the DLC armor sets. Everyone tells me they scale, but even activating the DLC at later levels, the armor is still levels 5, 10, 16 for the new sets (not the Wolf Witcher set--the region sets you buy from vendors). Don't know why I am not seeing them scale.

The very nice Steel sword which I mentioned--not the Arbitrator. I just checked, different sword--I've seen 3 times now, at different levels. The level of the stats are randomized of course, but you have the chance to get 80 armor penetration and 75% crit damage. That is effing nuts. Wish I recall the name; I eventually sold my last one to free up weight and can't find it in the crafter's stock that I most likely sold it too, but it comes with a half scabbard, so you see the blade when it is on your back. Haven't found a recipe for it, so I hope it exists somewhere.

another bug--possibly the same as earlier, which was supposed to be fixed, but I can't craft runes from the runes that I have long collected. I know there was an alchemy issue with mutagens and whatnot, that could be "fixed" by dropping and picking up, but for example: I can not craft an Igni glyph from and of the lesser Igni Glyphs in my bag.

I have 24 lesser Igni Glyphs that I never used, and have been hoarding since release. the crafter does not recognize any of them in my bag, when trying to craft the next step. Likewise for some of the runestones. ...but Axxi glyphs, I can craft from my lesser glyphs...likewise with some runestones.

On top of this, I have several that aren't stacking: 2 stacks of 1 Svarog runsetone each, and a stack of 5 svarog runsetones, for example.

Is this an issue of collecting them during different patches, items not being able to stack with earlier patch version, not recognized by current patch crafter? It's quite annoying...especially now that I finally want to fill upgrade slots on my armor and weapons (never needed it, tbh), and I can't.

This is a really irritating bug. And I am amazed their testers haven't found this.

This is what I did.
1) Install the Debug Console Enabler from Nexus. Be ware: you might need to find a link to the latest version somewhere in the comments. (The original author hasn't updated his mod in the last few weeks).

2) Go to a blacksmith.
Look what price he charges to craft runes.

3) Use the console to add 1 or more greater runes to your inventory.
You do this by hitting "~" and then typing: additem('Glyph igni greater', 3)

4) Get rid of your lesser runes. I don't think there is a command to destroy them. So drop them. Or sell them to the blacksmith. If you sell them, make note of the profit you made.

5) Subtract the profit you made on lesser runes, and the cost of creating the runes from your current amount of crones.
Use this console command: removemoney(x)

It is a bit of extra work.
But the result would be (almost) the same as if the bug had not existed. (The only difference is that the blacksmith now has extra lesser runes. Just don't buy those back).

I do this only after I crafted a new set of gear. Too much hassle otherwise. I think I also read that some (or all) runes don't work anyway, just like the mutagens don't work unless you reapply them every time after you load a savegame or fast-travel.

Ursine armor is where the business is. The mastercraft version looks amazing and the stats are quite good also.

I've been wearing the Griffin armor set ever since I got it. I've grown rather fond of the look, even though it gives Geralt a potbelly.

yeah, that's a hassle. I may just wait until it's fixed or not bother, if it's true that they don't work anyway. Not that I ever really needed them...

mutagens not working--you mean the green/red/blue that you link to your character tree? I had no idea that was happening.

I'm pretty sure the burning runestone works, because it's easy enough to see the burn apply....though now that I think about it, maybe that was only happening on relic swords that had inherent burn? :hmm:

Don't worry I'm only level 15 but I have the diagrams for the cat school gear at least. I have not played in quite some time.

Here I am, level 14, using some random gambeson :'( lol

WTF, I am level 62 and I just got to Kaer Morhen, I got ~35% game left.

Carnal sins quest got me so involved, I was foaming at the mouth and raging to take revenge on a character, Game of Thrones season 5 finale level of reaction here. I recommend this quest, to avoid spoilers I'll just leave this hint:
You flee my dream come the morning...

how the hell did you do that? :hmm:

I just hit level 34--maybe 35, and I'm on the last fight. I think I have more or less completed everything....everything (except all of the pointless smuggler cashes that litter the map of Skellige)
