How was the full screen console UI designed for TVs that CD Projekt themselves fixed in the Enhanced Edition? How were the corridor levels with zero exploration compared to 1? How was the lack of Acts compared to 1? It was on PC but was obviously planned for consoles.
The original had 5 Acts and easily cracked 50hrs, the 2nd was heavily cut back to barely over 30 and 3 Acts. And pffft, replay the game to get the second path.
I'd rather CDP delay one more time than EA:Ubisoft it.

Sounds like you skipped most of TW2, didn't bother to explore the world, didn't bother to talk to anybody, etc. Length of game has nothing to do with whether it was consolized or not. And TW2 was not even remotely a consolized game. A page back, you weren't even aware who the main character in the Witcher series was.
The story revolves around Geralt, the titular Witcher, and I deliberately separated the paragraph about length. Point was, 2 was too short, and I played it twice.
The books revolve around Ciri. And if TW2 was too short for you, you skipped a shitload of it. Quests aren't lit up by giant yellow ! over NPCs. You have to actually talk to people, go through dialog, explore the cities.

I don't even think I had moved past 10% of the game and I was like 10 hours in....
Well that's good to hear, I still need to finish up the first game for the holidays. I'm at Act3-4 last I remember and steam says I have 45 hours clocked.
According to the press release Ciri will have her own set of skills and a more agile fighting style compared to the much stronger, slower combat of Geralt. She also has the ability to “blink” or teleport during combat. Check out the trailer mentioned in the article down below.
