I'm gonna try these on my card tonite. Without sharpening in it looked a bit blurry.Motion blur is off here as well.
Settings I use for AMD people with similar card to mine 280X OC@1080p
HBAO+
Viewing distance(listed as foliage distance) down one notch from max.
Motion blur off
Sharpening on low,high(max) looked too sharp but did not really effect performance so preference thing that one.
Shadows low
Hairworks disabled.
Frames per second unlimited.
Vsync on
Bloom and depth of field are enabled on mine but preference thing.
Everything else on Ultra or enabled.
I did a new benchmark and was getting 42 to 48 FPS,average was solid 45FPS outdoors with a lot of trees blowing etc so very happy with that,also I could see the improvement in texture detail with the 1.04 patch so nice to see it improve visually.
Benchmark was outdoors in Velen using Fraps,using cats 14.12 drivers (yes I know old but very stable).
Do check your settings in options since the patch update reset some of my custom settings.
EDIT: I watched the alternative endings on youtube, and it seems they all tell you what happens to Geralt except the one I got. Do you guys think they will make another game with Geralt in it?

Relic are like legendary items, so they are better. Sadly, I've gone through the trouble of doing some of the crafting quests I've found so far, and none of it is as good as what I've found. But, I am getting around to these after far outleveling them.
For max benefit you need to do the treasure hunt quests at least 3-4 levels earlier than suggested. For example the improved Griffin gear is all level 18 quests but the gear can be equipped at 15.

I'm still at level 4. Trying to kill a basilisk. Not an easy task, but I'm stubborn. Got him down to 1/4 health.

Ugh... The forced punching fights are so painful. Like, at one point I catch some robbers in a house. I don't get a choice simply to kill them? I don't want to fight them; they are scum and deserve to die!
So I am being faced with a repeatable crash that is so bad I have to reboot the computer. I just finished the tower of mice questline and was back on fyke isle to do the Forefathers Eve quest. From the travel post I mount up and gallop to the rings, shortly after passing the harbor the game goes black but sound and the keyboard actions still work. It can even tab to windows fine (but again, black screen). If I reset the hdmi by cycling my receiver I get my mouse error back but no sound and nothing happens. I cannot bring up the task manager or break back into windows. Since further testing requires rebooting, I have no interest in trouble shooting it atm, but its the only crashing I have gotten from the game.
No way. Witcher items are much better stat wise(base damage means nothing when you get +10% attack power and critical hit bonuses for example) and they can upgrade. I'll post pictures later of my gear so you can see.
Unless, they got above level 36 or so (highest "upgrade" treasure hunt I've found), they don't even get close. I have a 62 or so sword that has like 500 more dps than anything craftable. But, I haven't found everything yet though.

That sounds like the hang that a lot of people (me included) are getting. You should be able to Alt-Tab to windows, or try to bring up task manager with Ctrl-Shift-Esc, and kill the game.
It's very inconsistent. Yesterday I was getting worried because I fired up the game three times in a row and had the crash within 10 minutes of loading. But since then I've played over 6 hours without a crash.

there is a level 14 basilisk due north of blackbough, or whatever it is called. There is a peninsula on that piece of land, with a fast travel marker: "Harpy Feeding grounds." To the east and coastal tip from that fast travel, you will find the basilisk on a marked ?. to the west and other coastal tip of that fast travel, there is a tower with a drawbridge, and it has a level 14 wyvern. there is a hidden cavern in the water beneath that tower, also beneath a place of power. On that spot, you have place of power, underwater cavern with loot, and inside the tower you have one of the treasure hunts.
I also stubbornly tried to fight that basilisk while at level 4...gave up. Came back at level 10 or 11 and he went down easy. Same for the wyvern.
There's a guarded treasure with a level 14-15 basilisk not far from the lighthouse where you find part of the Griffon armor.
Haha, ya that is the one. I finally gave up and swam to town. Town is impressive. I wouldn't be so low level, but I'm kind of just wandering killing monsters / bandits and nests, and finding odd quests that I haven't got to yet. I didn't realize monsters didn't give you experience
Heh, I came across that guy exploring. I was going to run but he got stuck on the bridge so I thought I'd have a go at him. Dunno how but I was attacking him and the next second.. "You Died"..:|. Figured I'd just come back to that in a couple levels, or with better gear. Really need to find someone to craft me master gear items so I can make better swords. Right now it wants me to go to skellige?
