doesnt this game have dynamic content multiple choices?

i dont know why people keep saying there is xx number of hours

a game like this you could play for thousands of hours if you want no?

i see people with 1600 hours on skyrim without gameplay mods

No. You clear the question marks and contracts and other bits around the map, the end. There is a point where everything stops and you must focus on the main quest (Like II) unsure if you return to the world after (I doubt it).

Sure there are alternate choices and all that, but the meat of the game beyond the story, once its done its done. I also can't see people having issues with gold - I have 20K and just under 50hrs. Negotiate on contracts, clear the map of points of interest, convert currency in Novigrad at Vivaldi's bank (the main currency is crowns, not florens or orens) and anything you kill you can sell off their crappy equipment for a bit. You'll get more if you sell to the right person - swords to swordsmiths and armour to armourers.

For NVidia users, here are some drivers that are more stable than the 352.86 drivers, but with the same amount of optimizations for the Witcher 3.

I haven't had any crashes since I started using this driver..

352.94 WHQL drivers.

They are iCafe drivers, but you can install them for regular desktop as well.

This game gets better and better. I am finding myself getting lost in the game only to realize 3 hours has gone by.
Side quests are some of the most fun I have ever had.
Combat is loads of fun. Playing on the second to hardest difficulty and while some mobs
are easy, fighting a pack can be slightly challenging, depending what the enemy is.
I am easily around 30 hours in, only level 5, in Velen exploring, gathering herbs, running around... basically just having a blast.

That's OK I guess. I'd sooner they quit while they're ahead than pull a Max Payne 3. TW3 would definitely be a high note to end on.

Although I did read somewhere that they hinted that there could be more Witcher games, but not focused on Geralt. They wouldn't be very canon to the books I don't believe but the world is interesting enough that they could do some good games focused around the events following the 3rd game and the political landscape it created.

It's awesome to fight a pack of wolves I can kill in 1 hit, but their friends show up, attack from behind, dodge my sword, and try to flank and surround me.

I tried that a few times but honestly it just seemed like it wasn't worth it. Most of the NPCs I tried it with would only accept an increase of maybe 20-40 crowns... I don't have anything near 20k but I'm not short of money. Probably 4-5k in my pockets plus a buttload of florens that I need to convert.

That's the secret there. Loot everything and always take the coins. Convert them. The exchange rate is in your favor. You can also sell junk for a bit of coin as well. I ended up selling most of the weapons and armor I came across and that added up.

I only have about 600 crowns at a time because I spend a lot on repairs. I am so close to level 8 now so I'm trying to figure out what else to do so I can gain the level up points. I've already explored so much the game is just massive.

I sell a lot of gear all the time(money soon piles up),as to repairs I try to carry repair kits from smithy/armourer,money actually becomes easier later,I've 20k as well even without haggling which you really don't need to do due to being so much loot around, haggling becomes pointless.

Once you get to Velen at level 4 or 5 it's really easy to get to 15+ even before going to Novigrad.

Check your journal and look at treasure hunts, secondary contracts,Witcher contracts and all those all over Velen, try to avoid main story ones due to the xp bug until patch is out.

As to converting currency to crowns, go to
Novigrad, can change it there.

I've been doing secondary quests throughout velen. Just need to get myself properly leveled throughout. What is the oil I need to beat that quest wild at heart? That werewolf just keeps regenerating. Now that I'm at 8.5 I should be able to beat him. I'll continue doing the quest for keira so I can gain more xp.

I beat him at level 5 2nd to hardest level.
Took me around 3 attempts. Used shield when up and food liberally. Couple hits roll / Dodge.

My sword wasn't good enough but I've finally got him with a better silver sword. Wasn't hard at all this time just annoying that he kept regenerating health. I didn't get much more than 45 xp for that quest though.

You do need a quad, look at the minimums of the i3 and pentium, those are shockingly poor. 60FPS, enter a city BOOM sub 40 stutters. I've seen Novigrad bits scale across my 5930K very well. CPU usage outside the city is ~25% total across 6 cores and 6 threads, increases to ~40% in city. As for the GPU, its ridiculous, that there is no mention of Kepler. Yes the game looks good (not great, its 2015, not 2013) but this 780 Ti can do High with Ultra textures at more or less 60FPS and that's it, which is ridiculous. Acceptable sure, and way above consoles, but still.

30FPS lock is a very good option for this game;
also if you don't have that Titan X and want high graphics settings the CPU bottleneck is not a big deal

Wow, time to get an i7!

I think my 2500k rig is just about maxed out with this GTX 970.

I suppose my next upgrade will be a whole new machine.

My 2500k handles the game on ultra minus shadows and blur. I'm getting 35/38-50 fps. No issues. I would wait for skylake instead. I don't think your system would struggle with the game.

http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/jan/28/sex-witcher-3-grand-theft-auto-of-fantasy-games

I was never sure exactly why I was supposed to give a damn about Yennefer. Thought I must have missed something from previous games (never finished TW1 and skipped a lot of the TW2 intro sequence). But if I'm interpreting that interview right, she pretty much came out of nowhere, and they thought they could make up for that with one implied sex scene?

“Through sex we have shown that this is a person who Geralt would be compelled to chase after if she went missing,” “Sex is the quickest way in which to establish the relationship and provide a justification for the player to pursue this woman,”

Did this work on anyone else, because it sure didn't work on me. I spent the whole game viewing her as some kind of impostor, and the characters I actually cared about were the properly established one. Sounds like weak justification for gratuitous sex (or nudity in this case, because the sex was only implied in that particular scene).

let's see...I'm 90 hours in, level 16, on the level 12 Novigrod quests...I've talked to Yennefer once (well, twice if you include the opening dream). so...no comment yet.

I swear this xp bug must have hit me hard this week, because I do nothing but going from contract to contract, ! and ? events, story missions...wtf am I still level 16? I think I've cleared ~70% of the space in Velen now.
