Beat the game, used an all sign build, maxing first level of axii for the dialog, then yrden then igni, only picked up 3 points in quen at the very end. Crazy control with >200% sign intensity. Could stay behind enemies and crit away.
Absolutely amazing game, worth every cent and the wait. Quality side quests (looking at you DAI), amazing world, and just so much of it. GOTY easily.
I would like to see what "the version that couldn't be" would have looked like, the one CDPR talked about when they were explaining why they couldn't make Witcher 3 a PC exclusive. Maybe the Red Kit will let us get close to that. Bugs, glitches, Roach and fall damage didn't take away much from the game for me as they did for others.
Finished the game last night. One piece of the ending puzzle didn't go quite as I wanted but steering that character would have been worse than letting the character make a choice I don't like. The deciding factors were very subtle, devs clearly didn't want the decision telegraphed and I'm fine with that.
I chose Yen because of the book canon but Triss struck me as the better choice. I killed another character I didn't really feel like killing but that character was planning to kill two others I cared for.
It was nice to see the payoff, the entire game I was collecting favors and making allies and it was really cool to see all these unlikely allies come together for me at a certain point towards the end of the game, the interaction between them and the impact on the ending was also a nice touch (two of them "hooked up")
I've done everything there was to do in the game and the other endings don't interest me so I've no real reason left for another play through. One character I wanted dead survived but the price for killing that character would have been too high. There are 3 DLC's left and I'm expecting to see Saskia and Iorveth be the focus of one of the expansion packs. Kinda wish the impact was more fleshed out but it's just a minor thing really, I traveled to Vizima hoping to see something but it wasn't there.
Now I'm having trouble picking up other games to play, even mindless shooters, probably just a temporary thing though. Yet I can't see myself picking up another RPG in the near future.

10/10.
Didn't like that. The idea that visiting a grave or trashing someone's shit will make Ciri grow some balls and survive the White frost is retarded. A couple of random emotional events decide if Ciri survives? Eh? Sure its different and I can sort of see why the devs went there as opposed to traditional events but eh.
Personally,I doubt that Ciri dies in the bad ending, despite what the Crone says. I think she simply chooses not to come back to Geralt. The choices that influence the ending are about the kind of relationship that you/Geralt builds with Ciri. Just before she faces the White Frost she has a flashback either of memories of good times with Geralt, or not so good. Also, most people are saying that 5 choices influence the ending (visit Skjall's grave, trash the lab, let her speak to the Lodge alone, snowball fight, don't take her to see the Emperor) but I think there's more involved than that. For example, the final worlds you say to her has 4 options, and is on a timer. I think it almost has some influence over the ending.
After the Witcher Geralt of Rivia lifted a curse from Duny, the Urcheon of Erlenwald, he demanded from Duny his wife Pavetta's firstborn child, a child he had but didn't know he had, due to the Law of Surprise. Six years to the day after the child's birth, Geralt went back to Cintra for her, but did not take her with him to Kaer Morhen at that time. In fact, he didn't even lay eyes on her and only spoke with Calanthe. The Queen divulged no information to him, not even the child's gender. This child was named Cirilla.
While she was still an infant, Ciri's parents were both lost in a storm at sea. They were presumed dead.
Witcher 2 and 3 are about choices, yes Ciri can die ,she has battle scars and was fleeing for a reason not because she cannot die.
Ciri can travel literally anywhere in space (and I think time). The only reason to believe she's dead is the Crone's word, but the Crone is trying to mindfuck Geralt so her word is questionable. Dandelion's epilogue confirms that she was never seen again after she entered the tower, so there's no way to know for sure. Either way, she's basically dead to Geralt, and that's what counts.

Yes she has.magical abilities due to her elder blood, but can still die, dead is dead, you are thinking of her as an immortal GODDESS which she is not,she is more closer to a female mage(with Witcher combat skills) in many ways
the timer option I chose at the end was "say nothing." figured, just let her go off and kill herself to save history if that's what she wants. I did do all of those other things that would influence her to stay. (I'm only now learning about those choices in this post; I thought Tywin Lannister was a dick, so I always told him to screw off, and that Ciri never said anything about him.) So, I'm thinking that she lives no matter what you chose in that final choice.
Jesus, you keep repeating words I am not saying.Yes, it is possible for Ciri to die, but the only reason to think she's dead is the word of the Crone. Which is not a reliable source.
That didn't have an impact on whether she lives or dies, it had an impact on her decision whether to become a witcher or an empress. I didn't have her trash the lab, I did have her visit the grave. She lived in my ending, I cought up with her in WO.
- A new, alternative (optional) movement response mode for Geralt.
- A player stash for storing items, available in various locations throughout the game. Stash locations are marked on the player's map.
- Crafting and alchemy components no longer add to the overall inventory weight.
- Books are now placed in a dedicated tab in the Inventory and books that have already been read are properly grayed out.
- Multiple sorting options are now available in the Inventory.
- Alchemy formulas and crafting diagrams can be "pinned", meaning all components and ingredients required to make them will be conveniently marked in the Shop panel.
- Dozens of fixes for quest related issues, both major and minor.
- A few performance enhancements, including the optimization of FX, scenes and general gameplay.
- Various improvements to horse behavior.
If they ever release a DX12 update, we may hopefully get to see it. With DX12, they could extend the draw distance and up the detail level to a far greater level.
Plus they could add all of the stuff they had to remove because of the consoles, like the forward lit particles for instance..
Patch 1.07 coming this week - http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/52056-Patch-1-07-coming-soon-to-all-platforms
The bolded is what everyone wants, but the books, and alchemy changes are good too, and I had finished the game last weekend
