A couple of them are tornadoes and spiders.

Imagine if they were fiction.

Spiders aren't insects (which have 6 appendages), they have 8 appendages and are arachnids.

Tornadoes are interesting in that they represent, point up the fact that something that's invisible can be very powerful (in this case, air). Same for gravity, magnetism, electrostatic forces.

I *used* to have quite a few 8-legged "friends and associates" roaming my place, but as I understand it from talking to one of my neighbors in another building, she got bit by spiders several times (so she claimed) and her arm swelled up, so the maint. crew was spraying outside the buildings for spiders.

So, maybe my "friends" are all on hiatus. Permanently. Which would be really too bad, it was semi-comforting to see a large one come scurrying out from behind a cabinet once in a while. Sort of like a pet, but not quite a cat or dog. (Ok, spiders as pets is pretty weird, but I don't get much company around here.)

Plus, one could see the evidence of all of the small little summertime flying bugs that they caught in their webs around the ceiling. (I guess I really should clean them up, but they don't actually bother me too much, I'm not much of a neat-freak. Nor do I freak out at the sight of spiders, like some people that I know.)

The little furry multi-eyes Jumping Wolf Spiders are kind cute, too. Like they should star in a video game.

I mean, tons of things fit this. Radioactivity is self-powering rocks. Computers are rocks etched in runes that we've convinced lightning to travel through. Batteries are lightning in a bottle. Pistol shrimp cause explosive underwater decompression, or whatever. Hell, let's just talk about evolution as a principal, DNA as a concept, and life itself. Pretty sure it's just amazing programming but still.
