OK, so say someone gets a drink there 300 days a year. 300 X .75 = $225

Adds up now does it not.

You have the idiocy to post that 'no one in their right mind likes coffee' on an IT message board?

Furthermore, they're on every corner for a reason.

Oh, and Lewis Black couldn't deliver a joke if his life depended on it.

I personally don't know ANYONE who goes ANYWHERE outside their home 300 days a year, not even work or school.

Yeah, 'cause it's really no hassle at all to deal with insurance companies.

Now, I never said it was or wasn't. You were bashing the guy, saying that the owners bread and butter was going up in flames, but I guarantee that the insurance company covers this, or even partially covers it.

When I worked for Wendy's, there were about 10 different people that visited at least twice a day. They didn't always get a full meal, maybe just a drink or something, but they were still there at least 726 times a year. (because they are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas)

edit: Yes, they are all obese. Imagine that. hah.

For once, I almost agree with CR.

Being happy because a person's business burnt down is idiotic. Here's hoping that you put the money, effort, risk and everything that goes into building a business to have it come crashing down in one quick swoop. Let's see who's laughing then.

edit: As far as the insurance, how often do you see a store burn down and then rebuilt exactly where it burnt down at? Answer: never. First, insurance doesn't cover everything, usually it only covers 80%. Second companies will relocate meaning many times that most employees have lost their job and the area is left with an eyesore. Third, the insurance will not replace lost wages.

That's and idiotic statement to. What are you, the coffee police? Is there anything you do twice a day? Maybe take a crap or something. Well, hell, I only crap once a day, so if you crap twice a day you must have a problem.

<----doesn't drink coffee at all, but doesn't judge people on their drinking preferences.

So I see Starbucks has now joined the ranks of MS, AOL, McDonalds and SUVs as targets by the self styled elitists who cannot understand why common folks like something they do not.

Grow up and mind your own fscking business. That these companies or trends bother you so much should show you just what is wrong with YOU, not them or them people who like them.

I mean, Jesus, how did you not see that coming from a few miles away? *sigh*

Frankly, is any of this really that important? If people like Starbucks does that negatively affect your life? Conversely, if people hate them does that negatively affect your life?

I was minding my own business when this guy decided to post a thread gloating at the misfortune of others basing that gloat on some elitist bullsh!t.

No, I didn't see that coming because, frankly, it's an illogical reaction.

Frankly, is any of this really that important? If people like Starbucks does that negatively affect your life? Conversely, if people hate them does that negatively affect your life?

The irrational hate of corporations by the American elitist left has led to a great deal of harm and a threat to everyone's freedoms.

And the public gloating over another's misfortune is disgusting and should be treated as such.
