ThermalTake Armor/Kandalf Graphics Cooling

Problem: the graphics card area gets really hot. So much that the case door gets warm.

Idle GPU temp is 58C load temp is about 82-84C.

The 120mm intake fan in the front of the case doesn't seem to move air in this area of the case enough.

Looking for a fan kit or bracket that will let me put a fan in such a way that it will blow air across or over the graphics cards and move the hot air from this area of the case.

I tried a PcToy (Zalman) fan Bracket, but that won't work. Just doesn't fit right and would end up touching the RAM sink on the front side of the graphics card in PCIE slot 1.

Other thing I was thinking of was cutting a hole in the case and putting a fan that blows cool air directly over the area.

I'd like a kit if possible or a new case door with a fan hole in it. Any thing out there to address this problem?

Maybe this is what you need: Vantec fan card

Try an aftermarket gpu cooler. The Thermalright V1 is by far the best, the temps with it are as good as watercooling. Get it at sidewinder, jab-tech, etc.

Got mine on my 6800 GT, put fans on both sides, temps drop from 80-90C full load to 50-60C full load. It fit with my XP-90 so don't worry if you have an aftermarket cpu cooler too.

Thanks for all the suggestions. The Fan Card might do the trick and might be the best fit. Or maybe both the fan card and the aftermarket GPU cooler.

You want the arctic silencer cooler... exhausts video card heat directly outside the case so it doesn't mingle with everything else. this'll help drop your case/cpu temps a little depending on how your case is set up

Stock @load was Max 85C

Zalman vf700-cu @load is 71C

Zalman vf700-cu with Fan Card @load is 71C (even cranked to max fan speed)

Zalman vf700 with Fan Card and case open @load is 58C(!)

I really wish ThermalTake made a fan hole in the side of the door on this case.

put a 120mm fan in the side of your case. try to position it so that 75 % is below the card and 25% is above the card. this gives the best performance from my experience.
