Wanted to know yalls opionon on this powersupply

its only $35.99 on sale with $1.99 shipping

also i couldnt find anything about thermaltakes warranty.. anyone know what it is for the powersupplies?

im on a pretty tight budget... just wanted yalls opinion

Like I posted in your other thread, it's fairly good for a budget PSU. It just gets loud than some may like.

Hehe Just wanted OP to know how low he's going @$35. And shady, that was tested with old hardware new stuff requires over 20A on 12 v ideally.. lots of posters everywhere complain about thermaltake even the 480.....

I used that PSU on my dual xeon server. had 6xu160 10k rpm drives all kinds of stuff(you can view it in the FS section). Never had any issues. Can't beat the price but as always YMMV.

I have the Tt in my P4 system and it's gone about 3 months with no problems at all. AsusProbe shows me absolutly no fluxing in rail voltages.

I got this same PSU during black Friday from Newwegg. I think I paid 36 bucks for it. I had to pay tax since newegg is in the same state has me. Anyways it is a great power supply, it replaced a 4 year old generic piece of crap. The fans were slowly dying and making wierd sounds and crap. Compared to that its much smaller and it does a good job of keeping my socket 754 athlon 64 cool. Also the voltages are on the money.
If you are in the market for a new PSU and you are low on cash, then get this one. With these newer GPU's needing more power this is a good investment. I know that I wouldnt be able run a geforce 6800gt in a generic 300 watter.

I am using a TT 420w in my back up computer, I was using it in my main rig, but the first one died after only 2 days, so I went back to my 350w enermax for my main rig. The replacement is running fine in my backup rig, but due to my first experience with a TT psu, I wouldn't recomend them.

the TT is a FINE budget PS.

ALL the reviews back it up as decent and many of the users here have excellent results with TT.

I have the 480w TT and it is excellenty for the price.

Same here. The TT480 produces far better voltages than the Fortron FSP400 (according to anand's article) which is why I got it and it was dirt cheap at $50. For $36 you can't go wrong, if its DOA, RMA! Not rocket science.

People were telling me to stay away b/c of the low 12v rails (same as the TT in question in this thread), but I haven't had any issues. My rig is in my sig (Athlon 64 3200+, 6800 GT, 74GB Raptor, etc.).

It has one large 120mm fan and three fan settings (low, auto, and medium). I left it on low and I can't even hear the thing.

AFAIK, there ain't nothing wrong with a 12v rail . . . . it meets/exceeds the specs for the P4 - unless your rig is WAAY o/c'd, there shouldn't be any issues (and IF it IS waaay o/c'd you should not be considering a budget PS, anyway).

I also only see Zebo as the "people telling me to stay away" from TT.

Since this is thge SECOND or THIRD challenge i have posted for him (here in GH) to show TT is a POS and he has NOT responded., i guess he is just BIASED undfairly.

I had one for 2 years and it performed rather well. It is still powering my fathers pc which I gave him. Think about though!! You GET what you PAY for!!!! Spend the money and save yourself some grief. Get a good PSU. I recommend PCPower&Cooling, but OCZ and Antec are both good PSU's.

Picked this one up too. I'm quite impressed with it so far, especially how quiet it is, even at max I cannot hear it over the other 120mm fans in my Antec Super Lanboy case.

I have this power supply. It keeps my 2600+ mobile @ 2400mhz fine. If i had better cooling 2500-2600 isn't out of the question. BTW I run the mobile at 1.75v, stock is 1.45 I believe.

It's a quality PSU, I don't know why zebo has so much hate for it

I've used this PS in half a dozen AMD XP office machines with great success. Stable voltages, no problems, no failures. You can't beat it for the price.

some people here will tell you it is crap, but I, from personal experience say it is the best PSU for under 50$
