I'm using one of these PSU's in my current system. Have had it for 2 years now and still running strong. Pretty quiet too, my case fans are louder than the PSU.

For $10 cannot be too lame.

It's $39,99 - $21MIRs once you factor in shipping. That's $39.99 out of pocket for what is at best a budget PSU, $18,99AR. Not bad after rebates, IF you get them.

Good psu for a system that doesn't require a 1000 gigilowatts. It's been running my daughter's old P4, 865 MB, 6600GT AGP computer for 4 years with zero problems. It has 2 -80mm fans and all cables are sleeved. Specs

You're right. I did not know where the extra $9 came from when it listed for $30.

Many newer PCs like Core 2 Duo and AMD AM2 have lower higher performance and much lower power requirements than most older PCs. This PSU is ideal for users that have low to medium graphics needs. Perfect for on board intergrated or 7600-8800 GPUs.

With 18A on +12V I wouldn't recommend an 8800, but anything that draws its power exclusively from the vid-card slot should be more than within spec, as well as many cards utilizing 1 power connector. Obviously this isn't a PSU for overclockers, hardcore gamers, or mission-critical applications, but it's more than fine for low-end to mid-range system.
