Thermaltake Tsunami

I recently read a review on the Thermaltake Tsunami case. The review said that the motherboard has to be removed in order to take the power supply out. I have heard that the psu was very tight to go into the Tsunami, but didnt know this about the motherboard having to be taken out. That realy sucks! Anyone out there have this case, and is this true? i dont have the case myself but from the pictures it looks like a really tight fit. the usb, firewire connectors at the top of the case block the psu from moving horizontally and the large hsf they use blocks it from moving vertically. looks like removing the mobo is necessary to take out the psu.

Dang. That sucks. I realy wanted this case. That seems absolutly crazy to have to remove a motherboard to remove the psu. Are alot of cases this way? I dont know how to remove a motherboard, and wouldnt even attempt it. This case doesnt have a motherboard tray either

I have this case, but my parts havent came in yet so I don't know about how a motherboard fits. The psu is tricky to get out becuase of the usb, firewire, audio thing on top, and becuse of the horizontal rail that runs near the top of the case. That said this case is awsome. And I think I will probably have to change the motherboard before I change the psu. Unless you have a need to frequently remove the psu I think you will love this case.

I have the Tsunami with an OCZ 520 powerstream PSU. I see no reason why you'd have to remove the motherboard to change out the PSU. It'll be a tight fit to get the psu out if your case is cluttered, but still doable. You might have to remove the 5 1/4 drives so you can move the PSU straight back, this shouldn't be hard though since the 5 1/4 drives are on rails.

Thats good to know. All I will have is one hard drive, a 160 seagate, floppy, liteon drive, and a sound card, just the basics. I thought about maybe getting one of these for the case also when I get it built just for looks, but also heard somewhere that the tsunami front door may not close all the way.

I have this case and I've taken the power supply in/out several times without having to remove the motherboard. It's a tight fit, but it's doable. The case rocks and I highly recommend it

Cool! Thanks for letting me know. I did forget to mention the motherboard will be an asus k8v-se deluxe with a amd64 3400+. I guess the mobo's would all be the same size wouldnt they? Maybe the one that wrote the review couldnt get it past a certain heatsink you think?

What color is your Tsunami, Navo?

Mine's black with the window. The mobo and PSU are a P4C-800e and Thermaltake 480 watt...
