Thin Station losing connection to server

I'm trying to help a friend, who manages a pediatric clinic, with some problems they are having. They run Thin Station on 2 computers and both are setup identical, but 1 of the computers loses its connection to the server repeatedly. I'm not an administrator or anything like that, but was hoping a couple of you could offer suggestions. Personally I think it might be something with the computer itself, like a bad NIC, or a damaged cable. The computers themselves are older (p3 933), but from what I have read that is plenty for using this client. The computers do not have identical hardware but the software setup is identical.

Any help would be appreciated.
