You are one lucky devil. Your wife is like my GF and most other ladies. They all love the Challengers. Quintessential Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Cruise all day in supreme comfort, strafe a back road, and lay down some silly double strips of rubber.

Enjoy

My wife likes all muscle....

Our garage packs over 900 hp currently. D:

When did you sell the F-body?
It was sold years ago. I just got tired of it honestly.

The Scat Pack, but it's not a fair comparison because I really hate the Camaro, plus I tend to drive my car harder than hers. I've never really pushed hers any and it's just a 2SS/RS, not a 1LE. Motor Trend disagrees with my assessment, but I think they are GM fanbois. http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests...ro_ss_1le_challenger_rt_scat_pack_mustang_gt/

I also think the weights of the two are much closer than most claim. Even if the challenger is bigger and heavier, I'm ok with it because it's a million times more comfortable to drive and ride in. With the average joe behind the wheel, they are probably about the same performance wise so i'd say it's a wash.

My two biggest gripes on the camaro: #1) IMPOSSIBLE to see out of. It's like driving a tank all hunkered down in. #2) Trans shifter feel is garbage and the clutch is terrible.

Yea, when the new body style came out I sat in one at the dealer one day and I felt claustrophobic inside and as stated they sacrificed driver view for style. Of all the new-generation muscle cars the Challenger is by far the best looking of the bunch, the 'Stang got those fugly headlights and front grill. Even better for you is your car has cylinder deactivation which the Hellcat does not feature, (it might not be doable considering the blower uses 80HP alone).

I don't understand why they don't make this in diesel. would help the MPG woes

Uhh, I don't think the average Challenger owner would buy one if it was a diesel. Yea, diesel's have come a long way, but a sporty 2-door domestic coupe with a diesel?, they might sell 5-6 LOL and if economy was a prime consideration OP would have not opted for a 485HP Hemi-powered car.

Camaro needs back up and lane departure cameras as a standard safety feature. Honestly I think the Challenger could use a backup camera too. Scat Pack includes it I think?

Mustang has the best sight lines of the three IMHO. I def like the Challenger interior better. I drove a regular RT model and the ride is very nice. I find it to be one of the best american representations of gran turismo.

I commend you on being able to park both your vehicles in the garage. Most people on my street use theirs to store a couple hundred dollars worth of junk while their tens of thousands of dollars worth of cars/trucks sit out in the sun.

Very nice! I have an '09 R/T. I sometimes get the want to trade it in for a newer year or an SRT, but my lifetime warranty keeps telling me no.

Plus I think my favorite thing about the car is the looks, which really haven't changed much.

The Camaros have always been like that and yeah I'm not a fan of them for that reason.

Nice car OP. Congrats!

I'd still just like a nice new MX-5 these days, but I'm a bit simple

MDS is only on automatics I believe.

Scat Pack has the backup camera, but you can see so it really isn't needed.

Man that's awesome Gillbot. I love the white color on that car. I had never seen one in white till now. All the ones I've seen were orange and they look great in that color as well.

But that car in white is screaming for 2 black racing stripes from front to back. I'm sure this is because when I was a little kid I got one of those electric car race tracks with a beautiful pony car in white with black racing stripes. Ah memories of good times in childhood.

I hate stripes. I didn't really want the one on the back either but it's growing on me.

Great car, man. It by far evokes the old car's appeal better than any other. I had a '70 with the 340 in it, in black. It was neither a nice one nor appropriate for a 16 year old.
I was instructed to sell it, and provided a 6 cylinder '66 mustang. What could possibly go wrong with that idea? :sneaky:

It's not available with the Hellcat with the auto either but like I said the blower might make implementing CD a problem. Jay leno asked the Dodge guy about it when he reviewed the Hellcat.
