The pomegranate is not a well-known fruit in New York City?
can't say that I've ever seen it in a mainstream grocery store around here, though they probably have them in ethnic markets.

Poms are decent tasting, but not worth the effort. Anything that hard to eat probably shouldn't be eaten.
Hard? Cut it to 4 pieces, put your thumbs on the two corners, use the 2 middle fingers to push in, and it'll open up most of the seeds.

its a damn good fruit and i ate it before but never bothered looking up info on it.
well im off to launch a grenade.
That's weird, you can usually find them at any Gristedes, etc. However, they are seasonal; it may be getting late in the season so there are less available.Originally posted by: enyce2k9
